When we outlined our dreams for what a storefront would mean for Two Little Dumplings, classes were always a part of the vision. Classes would allow us to share our traditions and to ensure that the art of dumpling making continues beyond ourselves. Honestly, running classes don't make sense from a purely profit based standpoint. However, Two Little Dumplings was never just about numbers (despite the 2 in our name), but is instead about building the kind of community we want to have.
That being said, we have learned over this one+ year of being a brick and mortar that we face limitations in our energy, our staffing, and our time. We wanted to find a way to do it all - the frozen dumpling line, the restaurant eatery, the farmers market, the classes, etc. As much as we want to meet expectations, we realize we can't without sacrificing our health, our families, our commitment to quality, and our vision to being more than just food.
To accomplish this, we are not going to be open on Saturdays as an eatery for the remainder of the 2026 year as we hoped, but will instead devote Saturdays to classes, to rest, to holiday specials (stay tuned for our Thanksgiving Menu!!!). We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we continue to evolve. We are so glad to have you along for the ride.
