🇺🇸 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗗𝗨𝗖𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗦𝗔. 🇺🇸
There’s a lot of frustration and uncertainty in the American cattle industry right now as decisions are being made that will bring more imported beef into this country.

We can debate policy all day. But one thing hasn’t changed — 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

They’re the ones checking cows at 2 a.m., fighting weather, putting up feed, caring for newborn calves, working through harvest, and investing years — often generations — into raising the cattle that help feed this country.

Heavenly Father,
Today, we lift up the cattle ranchers and farm families who care for their livestock and feed our nation.

After yesterday’s announcement, many hearts are heavy with disappointment, frustration, and uncertainty. Lord, please remind these ranchers that their worth is not determined by a market report, a policy decision, or the price of a head of cattle. Their work matters. Their perseverance matters. The safe, clean, high-quality food they provide matters.

We ask you be with those making decisions that affect our industry. The ones who have never sat up with a new mom and baby calf at 2am, endured the long hours it takes to raise livestock, fought the weather to keep the stock going; and remind those leaders of the men and women who have spent generations building America's great cattle industry.

Most of all, Lord, give ranchers peace in the middle of circumstances they cannot control. Help them stand together, speak with courage, and continue doing the work You have called and blessed them to do.

Grant them wisdom as they make decisions for their herds and their families. Give them courage when the future seems uncertain, patience when answers don't come quickly, and strength when the burdens feel too heavy.

Please protect every ranching family as we come into fall through working, weaning, preg checking and harvest. Strengthen every weary heart and provide a path forward when the road ahead is difficult. We don’t take lightly that You have blessed us with one of the best tasks given in being caretakers of your creations and for that we thank You.

As we continue to evaluate our herd and tighten our calving window, we're putting together a 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝟯–𝟲-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿-𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝘄𝘀 that will be available this fall. 🔥

These are 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 that have done an excellent job for us—sound, functional cows with good dispositions, quality udders, and the ability to consistently raise a good calf. 💪🏼🐂
They're being offered simply because their breeding dates no longer align with the tighter calving window we're working toward.

Beat the sunset by just a few minutes tonight. 🌅📸

Finished up haying just in time to sneak out and grab a few shots of the pairs on some fresh grass before the sun disappeared.

Hard to believe we’re already getting this close to weaning! This calf crop has us excited, with some really intriguing genetics that we believe will continue to shape the future of PVF Red Angus—and hopefully make their mark in other herds as well.

It’s always fun watching them develop, especially this time of year. 👀

Our newest herd sire arrived today. Homozygous black, suspected Red Gene carrier, tremendous athleticism, and apparently enough foot and leg to clear a 60” tall wood post. 😂🐻
We expect him to really move the program forward.
