Walker is getting ready for his afternoon nap! 🦘 He digs himself a little spot in the dirt, lays down, and gets comfy. 😂 Kangaroos will dig into the cool dirt to help regulate their body temperature, especially on warm days. Just getting himself ready for a little afternoon snooze! 🤎

🪿🤍 Meet the Animal Monday — Phylis!

Everyone meet Phylis, our 6-year-old Sebastopol goose! Phylis has been part of the Carousel Acres family since she was little, and let’s just say… she’s quite the character! 😂🤍

You may have seen this girl at one of our petting zoo events or hanging out around the farm. She’s very loved by everyone who knows her, and she has a personality all her own!

✨ Did you know? Sebastopol geese are famous for their unique, curly, feathered appearance! Their long, soft feathers curl and twist instead of lying flat like those of most other geese, giving them their signature fancy look. It’s hard not to recognize one!

Geese can sometimes be a little territorial or protective, but Phylis has her own way of doing things. She tolerates people pretty well and is happiest just hanging out and being part of the action. 🥰 She may not be the cuddliest girl on the farm, but she sure has a special place in our hearts!

We love our fancy-feathered girl, Phylis! 🪿🤍

🐰🤍 FUN FACT FRIDAY: POLISH DWARF BUNNIES! 🤍🐰

Have you ever met a Polish dwarf bunny? These tiny little bunnies may be small, but they have plenty of charm! 🥹

🐾 1. They’re a tiny breed!
Polish rabbits are known for their small, compact bodies and adorable little faces!

👀 2. They have big, expressive eyes!
Their rounded heads and bright eyes give them that sweet look that makes people fall in love with them!

🐇 3. Small doesn’t mean they aren’t active!
Like other rabbits, Polish rabbits enjoy exploring, hopping around, and investigating their surroundings.

🌿 4. Their teeth never stop growing!
Rabbit teeth grow continuously throughout their lives, which is why chewing appropriate hay and other suitable foods is so important!

❤️ 5. They help us bring the farm to YOU!
Our Polish dwarf bunnies mainly join us at petting zoo events, where they get to be part of the special animal experiences we bring to schools, parties, and other gatherings! We love being able to introduce people to these little cuties outside the farm, too. 🐰✨
