Been pretty quiet over here..
Rough week.
We all know there are ups and downs to having animals and a farm. This week proved that in full force. Our hunting dogs escaped their kennel while we were at work and took out almost our entire flock of chickens, 2 kittens and a few of our pedigreed rabbits we had just added for our son to raise.
So much money gone....
So much blood sweat and tears put into these projects and animals.
So much time....
Our hearts 💔 are devastated.
Ughh.
One foot in front of the other for now. We are ok, we aren't done.
I promised myself when I started this page I would post the good and the bad because that is REAL!
So here it is, the REAL.

Wonderful Days of JOY Challenge! Day 1 of 30!

20 pints of tomatoes blended and going into the freezer. There's a special joy in growing your own food. Thankful we have the space to do it. Joy in knowing there were no sprays, chemicals or pesticides used. Pure goodness grown, and the knowledge passed on to the next generation.

New skill: rendering venison tallow to body/face cream and whip. The Native Americans used every part of an animal they harvested, we should be too. 😉
