Always Growing Homestead

Always Growing Homestead A small family homestead where we are trying to become as self and community sufficient as possible!

I'm finishing preparations for the The New Hampshire Renaissance Faire today. We had more herbs than I thought, but still limited stock as the season is still young. We will have make and take pressed flower keychains, lavender goodies, and other herbal remedies and salves all locally grown. If I have enough time we will even have some tea tasting (Iced, it's supposed to be a warm weekend!) I can't wait to see everyone!!

The drying shed is cleaned and back in business! Today's harvest included a few spring greens, Bee balm, Dandelion, Wild Carrot, Catnip, Stinging nettles and Raspberry leaves.

I'm a little nervous because stock is limited from last season and we will be at the NH Renaissance Festival in 2 Weeks. We will make it a fun stop either way, so come by and see us!

Starting Tuesday, I'll be hosting open farm day again, from 9-230, and after 4 (I have to pick up my kid!)

This is my day to stay home and work on homesteading projects and a day I am happy to have whoever wants to drop by!

I'm still working on planning out the garden and am happy to share a couple of plots if anyone wants to claim them before I fill them or see what nature fills them with.

We are working on a new duck coop and creating a path to the woods.

As the seasons progress we will have herbs to share and other fun outdoor projects.

My goal is to build an environment to share and enjoy together.

Hope to see you there!

FREE / To Give:

Small dresser that I added wheels from a grill. Birch handle. Both can be easily removed. All drawers work great. Pressed leaves and flowers were mod podged on top but have deteriorated. Should scrape off easily. I used this with jam jars as a mobile apothecary by no longer have the space. It's stored in my screen porch and I can bring it to Rochester or Dover.

My disdain for AI has brought up the issues of previous technology and has been causing me to think about the digital clutter that social media is. I've taken a step back from posting for awhile because of this.

At the same time I would still like to share my products and services. My compromise at this time is to refrain from videos and to post images sparingly. I may get lost in the algorithm but doing what I can to help out environment matters to me, even if it's insignificant compared to what the big corporations are doing. I will always try to do what I can with the choices that I have.

My dried herbs and teas are still available at PO3’s Crystal Boutique LLC . It's such a cute shop in Downtown Rochester, New Hampshire. There are lots of other shopping and dining options while you are downtown and the downtown hosts great community events.

I've finally found a part time job in the corporate world that will help me have stable work throughout the year. It's important to me to still continue working seasonally outdoors and caring for the earth. I'm currently working on filling my schedule for the next growing season. Please reach out for your farming, pruning, weeding and other gardening needs.

As always, thank you for your support!!
