Shipped direct from our ranch to your table. Flying B Bar Ranch produces 100% Grassfed beef with no hormones, steroids or antibiotics focused on holistic, low stress, ethical humane ranching practices. The Flying B Bar is one of only a very few American Grassfed Association certified Grassfed beef producers in Colorado. Our focus on animal welfare and humane treatment is at the very top of our val

ues and we practice it every day. Our cattle are raised at the ranch 40 miles east of Denver grazing on the lush green grass of the Kiowa creek bottom free from any chemicals or herbicides. In the winter our cattle are fed only alfalfa and sorghum/Sudan grass that we planted, tended, swathed and baled ourselves here at the ranch. Our cattle are Black Angus and Wagyu/Black Angus crosses. Wagyu is the breed that produces the famous Kobe Beef. When its time to go to slaughter we work with only the best and that is one of the only two Animal Welfare Approved Slaughter facilities in Colorado. This guarantees that our slaughter process is in keeping with our philosophies of respect for the animals and humane treatment. We know you care about the foods you provide for your family, and we share that concern. That’s why we are so passionate about what we do, and why we want to share it with other folks who have the same priority for healthy, local, sustainable, family farm provided Grassfed beef. Give us a try, you won’t regret it! Check out the health benefits of our Grassfed beef. We’re taking orders now! Check out our online store at www.flyingbbar.com. We’re priced fairly, right in the middle of the pack. You won’t find grassfed beef raised with the attention to animal treatment anywhere for prices close to ours. We are a certified American Grassfed Association Producer, this is the only way you can know you are getting true certified grassfed beef, processing only the finest animals, and meeting the standards of the AGA. Check out our website for more information about who we are, why we do what we do, and how we do it, and then fire up the grill! Thanks, Brad and Margaret Buchanan. Not all cattle are like this, and thats probably a good thing, but every once in a while you get one that would rather stand around getting scratched than worry about what’s happening in the next pen.

Calm cattle don’t happen by accident. Good genetics, good handling, and time spent around them make a difference.

And every herd seems to have one that’s basically a dog.

🔥 Wagyu/Angus Beef Is Available. But Not For Long. 🔥

If you’ve been waiting for the opportunity to stock your freezer with our Wagyu/Angus beef, now is the time.

These cattle combine the exceptional marbling and tenderness Wagyu is known for with the rich beef flavor and performance of Angus genetics. The result is some of the highest-quality beef we’ve ever offered.

⚠ Available only as Half or Whole Beef
⚠ Limited number available
⚠ Reservations are already coming in

This isn’t beef you’ll find in the grocery store. It’s raised right here on our Colorado ranch, carefully managed from start to finish, and sold directly to families who want to know exactly where their food comes from.

The biggest mistake we see every year is waiting until later, only to find out the harvest slots are full and the cattle are sold.

If premium freezer beef has been on your list this year, don’t wait.
Reserve your Half or Whole Wagyu/Angus beef today before they’re all spoken for.

These photos are from a few years ago, but the lesson is just as important today.

The thermometer in the bare ground read 97°F. Just a few feet away, soil protected by a terminated cover crop and new growth stayed dramatically cooler at 83 degrees.

We planted directly into the previous crop, leaving armor on the soil instead of starting from bare ground. That residue helps moderate soil temperatures, conserve moisture, feed soil biology, and protect against the hot, dry conditions we see so often here in Colorado.

Especially in a drought year, it’s a good reminder that what happens above ground starts with how we care for the soil below it.

On to the next.

Did you know… cover crops help keep soil cooler and hold moisture during drought years?

“Jack of all trades, master of none, though oftentimes better than a master of one.”

Today’s project: giving our well pump house a fresh coat of paint. This little building helps supply water to many of the stock tanks across the ranch, keeping cattle watered year-round.

Just another ranch job that needs doing.

A little color from the creek bottom today.

Found both pink and yellow prickly pear cactus blooming along Kiowa Creek. Tough enough to handle drought, wind, and whatever else Colorado throws at them, but still put on an incredible show every spring.
