We are Dakota & Shayla, we have three boys. We raise goats, cattle, poultry, pigs, rabbits, turkeys, cats, dogs, worms, and we have llama's.

We also garden, and love hunting, fishing! Follow along our life journey. Proverbs 3:5-6 We are a family of five in East Central Oklahoma on 10 acres, with a long
term goal of never having to go to the store again. We have three boys that we homeschool and try to teach to live humbly. We raise cattle, goats, chickens, kunekune's, rabbits, ducks, cats, worms, dogs, and we have a llama too. Our pas

sion is the outdoors, we love life on our small farm, but hunting and fishing are also a big part of who we are. We are constantly building things and learning how to better our farm. We are not afraid to work and enjoy getting things accomplished. We are entrepreneurs and find value in most things, we love finding good deals, we have no shame in buying second hand and often flip things to make an extra dollar. We give all thanks to God for where we are! Don't forget, nothing good in life is easy. Never give up and always trust God. Proverbs 3:5

Somebody got into the chicken pen this morning...

I must say, this dude is a CHUNK, I was able to weigh him after catching him, at not even 11 weeks old this boy is off the charts at over 47lbs!

These are the gains we had been hoping for over the years and it looks like we are finally getting there. Absolutely no grain, unless they sneak it from other animals. All the kids are looking great this year!

Miss Queso got our of her pen today, I guess she just needed a walk. Its so neat seeing giant pigs run the farm though, ...

Had a very busy day today. Worked and came home to work some more. The task are sometimes very overwhelming, the amount of projects we have feels like the number of stars in the sky, but everyday I choose to keep moving and pick one thing to accomplish at a time, its been a slow process, sometimes it's been two steps forward, one step back, but we are making headway. I want to thank everyone of you for following along our journey! It means so much to us as we continue to grow.

I have so many plans for my garden, but as any of you that have garden know, it is a lot of work, however, I cannot wait to share with you everything I've gotten done so far and a neat herb garden that I will hopefully be building tomorrow and can share with you soon as well!

Local peeps, go check out Sheryl's Gardens, my first time out and she had SO MANY beautiful plants still left, tons of tomatoes and peppers, herbs, flowers, everything. I cannot believe I haven't been before. I had to run by today and get as many herbs as I could, but I will definitely be back for more this week after I find more containers for planting in, they are on sale now, but even her regular pricing beats any of the big box stores. 10/10 recommend! Thank you!!
