Dog Gone Ranch Continuing our new life adventures after over 40 years fishing and diving in Key West, FL.

We have started a small hobby farm on 28 acres just north of Trenton FL, 30 miles west of Gainesville FL.

Started out overcast and a tad bit cooler. Loaded up 15 bags of corn in 3 feeders. Saw a pretty butterfly in my hibiscus, and an imperial moth on the propane tank. Jake loves the rain showers, and Theo hunkered down in his fav place on the porch!

It was a birthday celebration for the Capt! Fried him up some pumpkin blossoms( male flowers) from the garden for breakfast! Baked him his favorite carrot cake for his bday! Got some FlKeys lobsters today also! (Thanks Dave!) Had an awesome visit with family (Wanda, Brian and Ryan) smoked pork butt, rice n beans, coleslaw and plantains! Oh so good! The birthday boy was happy to finally get a monkey! (Sure glad it was a stuffed one!)

Food plot sprayed and 2 chicken coops cleaned before lunch! G-Dog is still looking for her forever home(please share!) Smoke has NO idea what personal space is!😂Chuck is coming along-he's still skiddish- was checking out the chickens. Donald and Donita ate his food that got wet from the rain. Another day at the 🙏🏻

Rain rain and more rain- still much needed! Peacocks enjoying some kibbles. A great visit with Justin! Chuck is finally starting to chill a bit. We've still got a ways to go.

Kevin and Brian cleared logs and mowed my food plot- getting ready for deer season. Great day with great company- Tina and Orbit(Key West friends) We went to Ichetucknee State Park and walked trails with Orbit and Skye, then went to Poe springs- nice park but no people. Came back for lunch and went to Fanning Springs State park. We had Orbit with us so many places were limited where we could go with dogs. Still a nice day out and about! And 10000 steps to boot! Of course everyone was happy to see us at dinnertime!

Chuck still figuring things out! He's still missing his mom. Scrambled chicken and guinea eggs for dogs-farm fresh free dog food! 7 1/2 dozen done! Went shopping for flowers for the new flower bed! Turned out so pretty! are almost 3 mos old now, and the older ones are 4 mos old-starting to show their colors! Karen, Theo, Oscar and Snort-all great animals!

Poor Chuck- mooed all night missing his mommy. Will take a bit to get him used to his new home. Made 3 loaves of pumpkins bread from pumpkin from the garden- oh so good! (Thanks Connie for the recipe!) Had Brian and Wanda over for lunch to watch the American Freedom 250 race🇺🇸-great fajitas made from our cow! Bowser ( our foster tortoise) went to her new home today. Thanks Renee! Mr.Clyde shows off his colors! Smoke and Skye- best buddies!
