Tulare County Fair has come and gone!

Results from the market show were fantastic for everyone. We know it takes a lot of hard work and dedication over a long hot summer, so congratulations to all!

Perhaps not our biggest win, but definitely a well deserved win- was to a repeat customer.

Jaxson Rocha
Champion AOB
Sired by our newest Silversmith Dorset Ram

As a breeder, we always strive to have our lambs in the hands of a great feeder to get their lambs dialed in for market. Jaxson is just that and really listens to instructions to make the changes necessary. He has come a long ways in the past 4 years and this win was well deserved. He finally got over his 3rd place streak and his hard work paid off! Jax got to experience the breed and over all drive with both his AOB wether and Natural Ewe lamb.

Thank you for purchasing from CFSS. We truly value your business and dedication to your project.

Fall born lambing update and then some 🫣🤣

After a few test trials of trying to get the blood drawn and test strips to work correctly, we’ve got 7/8 confirmed bred!
We will have 7 ewes lambing to a THREE new stud rams we’ve purchased. After suffering through a pack of stray dogs attacking our main ram and several ewes, we had to move some money for new Sired and upgraded/changed some things.

BUT it doesn’t stop there- right? Never ending with the work in the sheep barn. We put out ewes and sorted into groups with these three new rams for Jan-Feb born lambs for our local fairs.

Stay tuned for lamb photos🤩

🔔FLOCK UPDATE ‼️
As we have sold all of our fall fair lambs, it seems the time is come around once more to start the CIDRS for our fall lambing group. It never ends but we love the challenge of upgrading and improving.

✔️We’ve added a LOT of variety this spring and utilized those lamb sells to cycle in some better quality ewes to our program.

We’ve recently bought 2 new rams and 6 ewes to cull out for older genetics.

This dorset ram is Originally from Silversmith and is a something we’ve wanted to add to make more whites in our flock. We tested him out last year and ended up buying him because his lambs were incredible.
(Bezos x Candy Paint) DOB fall 2023
Full sib to “Cherry” and Mr Brightside
Bred by Silver Smith and is a Registered Dorset

Secondly, is a new blue ram. While we loved our last guy, he was destructive and not the best for our facilities.
This guy is easy to handle and we’re excited to see what he makes for us.
(Ace of Spades X Blue Bull X Boots)

Next-This ewe come from Titus and is also registered.
She’s got a lot of body to her and has won’t a couple shows during her time of showing. We expect big things for her come this spring.

Lastly, got a few from one of our favorite local breeders who sold us a few flush yearlings and an 4 year old ewe who isn’t pictured.

To say the least, we’ve improving and moving up and want our audience to know we want to provide the very best for you guys.

Thanks for reading this long excerpt, but we needed to let yall know! 🥰
