Today was one of those days I’ll remember for a long time.

This morning, I loaded up my Tender Farm’s duck eggs and headed to the Oakwood Farmers Market for my very first official market as a licensed egg producer.

I sold out more than an hour before the market ended! 🥹🥹🥹🥹

To everyone who stopped by my booth, asked questions, purchased eggs, shared encouragement, or simply cheered on this little farm dream…thank you. Starting something new is exciting, but it can also be extremely intimidating. Your support made all the early mornings, late nights, and countless trips to care for ducks worth it. What started as a dream of restoring land, caring for animals, and producing healthy local food is slowly taking root. Today felt like the first harvest of that vision.

The ducks have already been informed that they’re now local celebrities and will be rewarded for all their hard work with hand-picked fresh peas from the farm their favorite treat. Fortunately, they seem perfectly happy accepting payment in peas rather than cash.

Thank you, Oakwood. I’ll be back next Saturday with more eggs.

After lots of preparation and hard work, I’m excited to share that my eggs have officially passed inspection, and I am now licensed to sell duck eggs throughout the entire state of Ohio! Every egg comes from ducks raised with care. Healthy animals, healthy soil, and sustainable practices are at the heart of everything we do.

If you’ve never tried duck eggs before, you might be surprised to find out they taste very similar to chicken eggs…rich, fresh, and delicious. Many people can’t tell much difference when they’re scrambled, fried, or used in everyday cooking.

Why do people love duck eggs? They are larger eggs with more protein per egg… so you’re getting more for your money. Duck eggs are rich in vitamins B12, D, and minerals like selenium and iron. They are excellent for baking because of their higher protein and fat content. I can’t recommend them enough. These are all reasons I look forward to breakfast… brunch… and breakfast for dinner.

Come see me this Saturday at the Oakwood Farmers Market from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM! I’ll have fresh duck eggs available along with other Bloom Tender Farm products. Whether you’re already a duck egg fan or simply curious to try them for the first time, I’d love to chat and answer any questions.

I’m so excited to finally share that Bloom Tender officially collaborated with Fifth Street Brewpub to create a beer.

Introducing Herb Gem…a fresh foraged spruce tip twist on their staple beer, Rough Gem.

This project has been such an honor for me. Fifth Street Brewpub has long been a place that pours love, creativity, and community back into Dayton, and getting the opportunity to collaborate with people I genuinely admire feels really special.

The spruce tips were freshly foraged by hand, and if you’ve never experienced them before, they carry this beautiful bright citrusy evergreen flavor that tastes like the forest waking up in spring. Watching something gathered from the land become part of a shared community experience is the kind of thing that makes my heart feel very full.

I love when local businesses come together to create something rooted in place…something seasonal, thoughtful, a little wild, and deeply connected to community.

Go support local businesses and try something truly unique, head down to Fifth Street Brewpub and grab a pint of Herb Gem while it’s available.

It was pure magic to be back at the Oakwood Farmers Market this Saturday…especially because my little ray of sunshine, Mookie, my sister, was right by my side, showcasing her incredible baking talents with her startup Nonas Moonspell Hearth. I also got to reconnect with old friends from the market, and my heart overflowed with rays of joy.

I’m so blessed to do what I love, surrounded by those I love, bringing happiness home.

If you missed us this Saturday, don’t worry we’ll be there every Saturday in May, so come see us next weekend! I can’t wait to grow, expand, and keep blooming on this farm journey!

Saturdays are for the Oakwood Farmers Market.

Bloom Tender will be there this Saturday and the weather is going to be absolutely gorgeous. The kind of spring morning that begs for coffee in hand, sunshine on your face, and a slow stroll through the market.

Good morning, sweet friends!

The season has turned, the soil is waking, and just like that… market mornings are back. Or rather... TOMORROW!

There is something sacred about the first farmers market of the year...the golden light, the hum of community, the quiet return of hands meeting the land again and boy, how I’ve missed it.

This Saturday, I’m bringing a little pieces of our farm with me!
