CDP Stables

This week here at CDP Stables we had the opportunity to host the USSGA NC Invitational/
Ladies division Local tour with Kirk Tours and limousine. We had an exciting morning of exhibitions and this lovely group of ladies got to see up close the power of the horse. By beginning with a groundwork demo, to seeing an upper level horse under saddle, then watching a couple young, up and coming stars school over fences it was an exciting and well round morning to give the ladies just a taste of what all we get to do and just how lucky we are to do what we love!

Thank you ladies for coming out and spending the morning with us! We enjoyed having you at the farm and hope to see you all soon!

We practiced, were patient, rolled with the punches of mother natures extreme heat, unpredictable afternoon storms, and persevered to have an incredible weekend! To say we are Proud of our team would be an understatement!

We would like to thank the Carolina Horse Park and all staff, volunteers and vendors for putting on another great show weekend that we look forward to each and every outing there! Thankful to have such a great venue only a short drive down the road!

Now let’s get into it! Beyond proud of our team!

CDP Stables Bayou Bengal and Susan Plumb showed up to party this weekend and won the Open Intermediate in a very competitive division leading the way from dressage, all the way to XC! Proud of the hard work this team has been putting in!

CDP Stables Cooley All In and Susan Plumb, and Hayley Norfleet and SRF Rose Colored Glasses had great Top 10 finishes in a very tough division! These two teams have been doing their homework and watching them grow together as one unit is incredible to watch!

Today, we are honored to share the legacy of Faith Caldwell. In order to respect Faith's privacy, on August 14th, 2026 the executor of the estate of Faith Caldwell has authorized CHP to release the following information about Faith

Faith’s connection to horses was lifelong. Her dedication to safety, education, equine welfare, and the future of Carolina Horse Park was equally profound.

Through an extraordinary $1.15 million gift to the Carolina Horse Park Foundation, Faith has left one of the largest gifts in the Park’s history, and a lasting investment in the future she believed was possible here.

Her legacy is not simply a gift. It is a vision for innovation, safety, education, community, and equestrian excellence for generations to come. We invite you to read more about Faith, her remarkable contributions, and the legacy she leaves with us.
