Welcome to the flavors of fall!! Last week we sampled "Lucy Goosey" and this week our tasting jam is "Cranky Pear". This definitely different combo features cranberries, pears, port w**e, nutmeg, and mace. Try it on a sandwich or as a glaze on pork roast.

We will be at the Animal Awareness Day at the Guilford Fairgrounds tomorrow from 11 until 3. Come on down and visit the various vendors and watch the animal parade!!! We will have samples of "Blu Rhue", a delicious blend of rhubarb, blueberries, raspberries, and balsamic vinegar. It's going to be a good day to celebrate our furry friends!!!

This week's sample is a seasonal favorite, "Lucy Goosey". If you've never tasted a gooseberry, you are in for a treat. This small iridescent fruit is similar in taste to a cranberry, perfect for fall. Since we grow our own, quantities are limited so stop by for a jar before they are all gone.

Wallingford Garden Market is a rain or shine event, but wind is another story!!! The market has been cancelled for tomorrow due to 40-50 mph gusts and we want everyone to be safe. But all of us will be back again next Saturday with lots of goodies for you to try.

"Judi Garlic" will be this week's savory sampling in case you missed it for the Garlic Fest. The unusual concoction features roasted garlic and onions, with pineapple and a "hint" of habanero. Excellent on ribs on the barbie!!!

Well the harvest is in, peeled, ground up, and cooked!!! Sampling jam this week is "Off The Vine" home grown concord grape jam with a touch of cinnamon . Give it a taste!

I know I missed Natonal Ice Cream Day back in July but why not celebrate the end of summer with a big bowl of ice cream topped with chocolate jam!!! Stop by and try "Chocolate Covered Dream", made with strawberries, bananas, and - - most importantly - - CHOCOLATE!! It's also excellent on waffles or pancakes!
