Your fantasy roster isn’t the only lineup that matters tonight. 🏈🍷

In honor of National Fantasy Football Draft Day, I’ve assembled five game-day snacks and the wines I’d draft to pair with them:

🔥 Buffalo wings + off-dry Riesling
🧀 Loaded nachos + Zinfandel
🥨 Soft pretzel bites + sparkling wine
🍕 Pepperoni pizza + Chianti
🥔 Loaded potato skins + Chardonnay

The strategy is simple: balance the heat, cut through the richness and choose wines with enough personality to keep up with the food.

Swipe through to see why each pairing deserves a spot on your roster—and save this lineup for football season.

Which pairing is your first-round pick?

Brad Pitt is drinking again?

Well, I wasn’t planning on opening a bottle tonight, but it would be incredibly rude to make the man drink alone. 🍷

Now the important question: What are we pouring, Brad?

I’m thinking something French. You know… for reasons. 😏

Cheers to being supportive. 😂🍷

Riesling has a reputation.

And frankly, it’s not entirely deserved. 🍷☀️

Mention Riesling and many people immediately think sweet wine.

But Riesling can range from bone dry to very sweet—and everything in between.

That’s part of what makes it such a fun food wine.

Expect flavors like green apple, lime, peach, and pear, backed by the bright acidity that makes Riesling so refreshing.

And when there’s a little sweetness? Bring on the spicy food. 🌶️

Try it with:

🌮 Spicy tacos
🍜 Thai food
🍣 Sushi
🐖 Pork
🍗 Spicy chicken

Swipe through for the latest installment of my Summer Sips series and discover why Riesling deserves another look.

Be honest: When you hear “Riesling,” do you immediately think sweet?

Garden to Plate—flatbread edition. 🍅🌿

This one brought together cherry tomatoes and basil picked fresh from our garden, plus pesto made with the garlic scapes we harvested earlier this summer. Spread across a crisp flatbread, they made a simple meal that tasted like August should.

I paired it with a dry rosé from France’s Languedoc region. Its bright acidity matched the tomatoes, while the wine’s fresh red-fruit and herbal notes complemented the basil and garlicky pesto. A chilled rosé and a garden-fresh flatbread? That’s summer dinner done right. 🥂

What would you pour with this?
