We will be closed on Saturday Dec 7th for a special event. We will be open for our normal hours on Sunday Dec 8 th.

Come join us on Saturday Dec 14 for our holiday hike! Grab a glass of our homemade mulled wine as we make our way along a new vineyard trail. Cross the bridge to reach the historic, pre-civil war barn and learn a bit of it’s history. Return and sit by the outdoor firepit to enjoy our award-winning wines and some holiday cookies.

Need to do some holiday wine shopping? We’ve got you covered! All bottle purchases are 10% off and cases 20% off so come get in the spirit at CHW. The hike begins at 1 pm. This is a free event! Please RSVP to Gerri at [email protected].

We are excited to share that Carriage House Wineworks had 4 wines recognized in the 2024 Atlantic Seaboard Wine Competition! Gold and best in class: 2023 Shelly; Silver: 2022 Reserve Petit Verdot; Bronze: 2023 Albariño and Viognier.

Veraison Vineyard Tour - Join us on August 24th at 2pm for a popular CHWW event. Our annual Veraison Vineyard Tour! This is the exciting time the grapes change color in late summer. Tour participants will walk the vineyards checking out this transformation while sipping wines made from these grapes. They will also get a bit of VA viticultural knowledge and history. Tours will end in the production area with a special taste of something new.

Tickets are $35pp or $30pp for club members and can be purchased from our online store.

We’ll be sampling Albariños from Spain, Portugal, Uruguay, and Carriage House. Come see why this crisp, fresh white is starting to make waves in VA. Class sizes are limited. Budbreak Wine Tour! Saturday May 4th 2:00pm

Budbreak tells us Spring is here and is one of the first signs that the grape growing season is here! Join us for a fun and interactive tour where we will see how our 2024 vintage is shaping up!

During the 75-90 minute tour you will:
– Learn about the lifecycle of a grape
– Tour the vineyard, barrel & tasting rooms
– Discuss the basics of winemaking

Each tour includes:
– Tasting 6 Carriage House wines
– A souvenir CHW glass
– Discounts on purchases as well as access to pre-release wines

Tour spots are limited!

Viogniers Around the World
On Friday April 19th from 7-9 pm we’ll be hosting a Viogniers class. Participants will get to try 5 different Viogniers from different world regions including the benchmark, a French Condrieu. Each wine will be paired with a different style Thai food. The class will include an educational presentation about Viognier and its expression in the various regions.

Tickets are $65 pp for the public and $60 pp for CHW Club Members and can be purchased in our online store.
