We worked hard yesterday afternoon and into the early evening to pick the entire strawberry patch so we could fully stock our Waverly Farm Market before the rain moved in.

Because of berry quality, we’re unable to pick during active rainfall. When berries are wet, their shelf life drops dramatically — we never want to send you home with fruit that won’t hold up.

With cold temperatures predicted this weekend, berry picking will naturally slow down. Once things warm back up, the patch should kick into gear again and carry us for another 2–3 weeks of strawberry season.

Thank you for understanding and for loving these berries as much as we do.

You can find them at our Waverly market across from Wendy's at 403 E. Emmitt Avenue, Monday-Saturday, 11-5:30 p.m.

Nearly two inches of desperately needed rain fell last night, and our fields are breathing a sigh of relief.

Today brings dry skies and (hopefully) a little sunshine.
Our Waverly Market opens at 11 AM with a beautiful mix of produce and plants:

- Crisp greens: salad mix, spinach, leaf lettuce, cabbage
- Fresh‑cut asparagus
- Sweet early‑season strawberries
- Hanging baskets, 4.5" pots, Boston ferns, and more for your porch and garden

We’ll be picking strawberries as soon as they dry off, so early quantities may be limited. We hope to have them at the market around 1 p.m.

Tech troubles tried their best, but our community showed up stronger.

If it’s not raining in the morning, we’ll be picking strawberries for a Waverly restock. Mandy’s gorgeous custom baskets and planters will be freshly stocked too.

Rain or shine, we’re open Monday–Saturday, 11–5:30 at 403 E. Emmitt Avenue across from Wendy's.

Today is the day and our hearts are so full. We are so excited to be back. We’ve missed your smiling faces, your stories, and the friendly conversations that make this place feel like home.

We’re running on adrenaline and excitement this morning as we scramble behind the scenes to make everything just right for you.
The crew is out harvesting fresh strawberries, we’re watering flowers like crazy, and the market is getting its final shine.

Tomorrow's the day, friends. We’re back, and we’ve missed every single one of you.

While the snow flew and the wind howled, we spent our winter tucked inside our greenhouses and tunnels— planting, nurturing, and caring for thousands of vegetables, hanging baskets, planters, and 4.5" pots. Now they’re ready to meet the people we grew them for.

OPENING DAY 2026 at the Waverly Farm Market!

Tomorrow is THE day! Come see us at 403 East Emmitt Avenue (across from Wendy's) and we cannot wait to welcome you back for a brand‑new season of local goodness.

We will be open in May from 11-5:30 pm, Monday-Saturday.

Strawberry fans… you showed up today! 🍓
Thank you for packing out the Chillicothe Farmers Market and swinging by our self‑serve fridge. Because of your enthusiasm, we are temporarily sold out of berries.

But don’t worry — we’ll be picking again soon.
Fresh strawberries will be back Monday for our season opening day at our Waverly Farm Market

We were able to pick some of our homegrown strawberries this morning 😍 $7.50/quart basket.

Due to limited quantities, we are offering them first come, first served in our honor fridge at 13 Denver Road in Waverly. Market Share Members will have some in their share this week 😀

We will post soon when the u-pick strawberry patch will open for the season as well as when we will have quantities for orders.
