Outlaw Springs Ranch Small scale breeding operation offering quality AQHA prospects. Focusing primarily on running bred and all around ranch/using horses with good minds.

Outlaw Spring Ranch is the home of MRQH Salute Beduino an AQHA stallion bred and raised by Moreau River Quarter Horses in South Dakota. Salute has proven to produce athletic good minded babies and is offered for breeding to the public to a limited number of mares. If you are looking for an athletic, good minded stallion that throws his brains and good looks on each and every one of his babies look no further. To date, he has crossed fantastically on running, cow, and ranch bred AQHA mares. He also has produced some outstanding Appendix AQHA foals out of Thoroughbred mares. His first foal crop will be hitting the performance pen in 2021. Salute is color tested as EEAAGg which means he is homozygous black and agouti with only one copy of gray. He is also 5 panel tested: HYPP N/N; PSSM1 N/N; MH N/N; HERDA N/N; GBED G/N. Please feel free to message the page with any comments and questions. We would be happy to hear from you. I've had a fair amount of questions regarding what we have available at this time, so thought I would consolidate everything down to one pinned post. We have 3 AQHA broodmares being offered for sale, two are bred for 2027 and one is open but could go with a 2027 breeding to MRQH Salute Beduino. The two bred mares also have their foals available to reserve in utero, in which case the mare will no longer be offered for sale, as well as 2 other in utero foals available. None of these girls have to go, but with me spending most of the last couple years focusing on riding my young ones and doing more destination trail riding I'd like to slim down my broodmare band a bit for future years. All 3 of the broodmares have been with me since they were young(yearlings/2yos) so I can tell you just about everything there is to know about them. I am open to trades on the broodmares if it helps to get them into excellent homes. Open to quality cutting/roping/wade/cowhorse type saddles, quality pads(CSI, Saddleright, SPH, etc),tack, ATV/4Wheeler, beef feeder steer/calf/calves, or possibly a broke gaited mare(would be picky on this one).

Offering another broodmare for sale, this one will also be a tough one for me to let go but with my focus shifting gears to riding my young ones I would like to find a couple of the broodmares new homes.

Frosted Pepinlena is a 2016 AQHA Bay Roan mare standing 14.2hh. She is a thick built mare with great feet and a great mind. She has primarily been a broodmare as I was hoping she would get a little taller for me to ride more comfortably, but she never did. She has had 4 foals for me, 1 filly and 3 c**ts, all have been roan! Frosted Pepinlena was broke out as a 3yo and we did put quite a few miles on the trail and arena with her. I think she could be brought back as a riding horse pretty easy. Never had any buck/rear, but was a more go than whoa sort of horse with a good work ethic. She could pound trails all day and never get tired. She is currently open, no fault of hers. Frosted Pepinlena also has limited vision in her right eye due to a poke injury as a 2yo. She can still see out of it fairly well and it has not slowed her down any.

I have owned this mare since she was a 2yo so can tell you everything there is to know about her. Only reason I am selling her is I would like to eventually cut back on my breeding program and have other horses to ride. May consider reasonable payment plans and possibly partial trades for a quality cutting/ranch/wade/cowhorse type saddle, alfalfa hay, beef steer/calf, or 4wheeler. Sold to a wonderful family!
We rarely do this, BUT we are reducing the price on this 2026 APHA c**t until October 4th. We are headed to Tennesse and Virginia to ride for 11 days in October and to make my farm sitter's life less stressful I would love to have this last c**t in a new home before we leave. He is officially weaned, eating grain, halter broke, and getting a coggins pulled on Wednesday. He has such a big, goofy personality I know if you come meet him you will love him. Should finish out ~16hh and will be a serious performance prospect(would personally love to see him make a rope horse), or with his sweet personality he would also just love being your best friend to go adventuring down the trail. 3### takes him before Oct. 4th and I am still open to possible trades as well. Can also help with hauling within a reasonable distance, or meet along our way from Wisconsin to Tennessee.

Just wanted to brag a bit on one of our mares ❤️ none of our girls are "just broodmares" every single mare here has been ridden and used at one point or another and most of them still are ridden and used between having babies. This mare here is SGP Miss Basinga, she had over two years off raising me a keeper filly in 2025 and then raised up another big beautiful filly this year that was just weaned August 19th and picked up August 28th. I pulled her out to tag along with us for Labor Day camping this past weekend as an extra horse. For her first ride back I just saddled her up, walked her out for a minute, swung on and away we went right down the trail walk/trot/lope. A good stallion is only half the equation, having a mare with a good mind is just as important.

I can't believe no one has claimed this guy, he's going to be big(~16hh), flashy, has the best personality around, and a nice set of papers to top it off. His best buddy is getting weaned in a couple weeks and I'd love for this guy to get claimed so he can be weaned then too!

35XX OR opening up the possibility of a trade/barter 😉 actively looking for a 4 wheeler, 15-16" ranch/cutter/wade type saddle, always open to trading for quality hay as well since you can never have too much in the barn. Crazy busy weekend here at Outlaw Springs! On Friday Zingin By Ya headed to her new home and today the spicy redhead, Shakit Tiny Dancer, also went to her new home. For all those following, Shakit Tiny Dancer was the filly born with a cataract in her right eye. I think we found her the perfect home and I was able to barter some training out of the deal so it was a win win! With that said our 2yo thoroughbred filly also went to be started under saddle and we are considering offering her on consignment after training. The fancy roany pony and the massive painted c**t are the next two on the roster to wean and halter break. The roan is headed to his new home late September and I would LOVE for someone to claim the painted c**t too so they could be weaned together and he could head to his new homes around the same time. They're the best of friends ❤️

This filly will be the first to head off to her new home in a couple weeks which means weaning happens this week...let the fun part of halter breaking begin. I'm so thankful to have another group of good minded c**ts this year so halter breaking should go real smooth 🙌
