Come shop for groceries with me for the last week of our Live 4-Week Summer Meal Prep Sprint inside The Autoimmune Edible Rx!

I already had a couple proteins, a can of beans, dairy-free cheddar, onions, carrots, and some almond flour tortillas on hand so this week's grocery bill was super affordable.

Watch til the end to see how much it came out to and stay tuned to see what the meals looked like in the end!

Do you ever need an emotional support drink while you grocery shop?

Lol

(And yes, I let my daughter buy a bunch of junk with her allowance money. She earned it and this is what she wanted to spend it on lol.)

STUDENT RESULTS OF THE LIVE SUMMER 4 WEEK MEAL PREP SPRINT:

We have been meal prepping live together inside The Autoimmune Edible Rx these last 4 Sundays and here's what my students had to report after eating Flare Free for four weeks straight:

"I've already lost 4 lbs. of inflammation which is crazy."

"I was tired all the time but now I'm able to get through the day without crashing out."

"I feel lighter because my stress levels are lower thanks to meal prep."

"My Ulcerative Colitis is in remission and I was able to do my hard workouts these last 2 days with no issues."

This is what happens when you show up and put in the work to be consistent.

When you have a coach guiding you and holding you accountable to make it happen.

When you have free prizes to motivate you to stay the course.

Not only are my students feeling better in their bodies...

But they also have a better mindset about meal prepping, too!

Out of the 5 people who felt overwhelmed and anxious about meal prepping when we started...only 1.5 of them feel the same now.

Zero out of the 4 people who felt meal prepping would be too time consuming to fit into their busy lives feel that way after actually doing it.

None of the 3 people who were afraid their families wouldn't eat this way when they started are afraid any more.

Only 2 students said they would recommend meal prepping to others when we started.

Now all 8 agree they would absolutely recommend meal prepping to anyone who needs to eat healthy more consistently.

If you need this so you can start feeling better in your autoimmune body and mind...

Welcome back to my series: Autoimmunity 101.

Today, I want to talk about the 2 main types of autoimmunity there are.

1.) Systemic Autoimmunity (where your immune system attacks multiple body systems)

2.) Organ Specific Autoimmunity (where your immune system only attacks one specific tissue or organ)

Here's the thing that I think makes this so tricky.

Most people would assume the systemic autoimmune conditions are harder to deal with because you have more going on.

But I actually think it's the opposite.

Because when if your autoimmune disease is attacking one specific part of your body, it's easy to develop tunnel vision.

"I have Celiac, so I just need to avoid gluten."

"I have Hashimoto's, so I just need to heal my my thyroid."

"I have MS, so I just need to focus on mobility."

And yes! All of those things matter. A lot!!

But the location of your autoimmune disease isn't the whole story.

Your immune system doesn't exist in a vacuum.

Neither does your nervous system.

Your stress levels.

Your sleep.

Your diet.

Your movement.

Your relationships.

Your environment.

Your ability to rest and recover.

Your ability to detox.

Etc...

Just because your autoimmune disease is tissue-specific doesn't mean your approach to supporting your body should be too.

Because at the end of the day, you are not just your thyroid.

You're not just your digestive system.

You're not just your central nervous system.

Your whole body works together as a set of intricate interconnected systems that all work together.

And treating your condition with that information in mind can really help you propel yourself to greater healing.

DM me if you need help thinking of ways you can go beyond what you (or your doctor) may have been focusing solely on healing up until this point if you have a tissue/organ specific condition. 🫶🏽

Imagine walking the streets of Puglia on our retreat and seeing this:

Nonnas making fresh pasta on Pasta-Making Row. 😍

In September of 2027, we'll be hosting a 6-day gluten-free healing retreat in Puglia, Italy.

This retreat is a beautiful balance of exploring, learning, resting, playing, and simply being.

We’ll explore ancient towns, wander limestone streets in whitewashed towns, taste wine and tour the farm grounds of a local vineyard, discover the food traditions of Puglia, swim in the Adriatic sea, cruise along the coast in a beautiful catamaran, explore seaside caves, and spend a day experiencing the magic of one the 3rd oldest city in the world.

We’ll eat really, really well along the way. With traditional Mediterranean chef-prepared meals at the trulli village, local Pugliese delicacies, gluten-free dining experiences, wine tastings, gelato, coffee, etc.

But this retreat isn’t about filling every minute.

There will time to rest and do absolutely nothing.

Lounge by the pool. Take a nap. Read a book. Sip a glass of wine. Wander through a piazza. Get gelato or a coffee. Have a long conversation with old friends and new.

Practice “dolce far niente” - the sweetness of doing nothing.

And throughout the week, we’ll create space to slow down and restore through sound baths, meditation, breathwork, journaling, somatic practices, healing circles, and other nourishing wellness experiences.

Some days will be full of adventure. Some will be slow and spacious. Some will be a little bit of both.

Our final day is intentionally spent at the trulli village - with time to rest, move your body if you want to, book a massage, swim, nap, pack, enjoy one last chef-prepared dinner, and soak up your final hours in Puglia.

Because this retreat isn’t about rushing from one experience to the next.

It’s about slowing down enough to actually experience your life.

Come explore. Come play. Come rest. Come eat really good food.

Come experience the magic of Puglia with us. 🤍

Early Bird tickets go on sale September 1st and for the month of September, a 12-month payment plan will be available!

You won't want to miss this!! ❤️

Autoimmunity 101 (Part 2):

The main 3 triggers of autoimmunity + who it affects

200–400 million people worldwide are estimated to be living with autoimmunity.

And roughly 75% of autoimmune patients are women.

It can also take years to get an accurate diagnosis.

But here’s the interesting thing…

Even though there are 100+ different autoimmune diseases, many of them appear to share some of the same underlying risk factors.

One of the researchers who has spent decades studying this is gastroenterologist and celiac disease expert Dr. Alessio Fasano.

His research has helped us understand the complex relationship between:

🧬 Genetics
🦠 The gut microbiome
🌎 Environmental factors

Your genetics may load the gun.

But it's not enough to pull the trigger.

Whether or not autoimmunity develops is based on the interaction between your genetics, your gut, and your environment.

And THAT is where things get really interesting.

I’ll talk more about this in the next video. 🫶🏽

But until then, tell me in the comments…

Are you part of the ~75% of autoimmune patients who are women, or the ~25% who are men? 👇
