A key piece of equipment that's very universal for most farming needs. We use ours for bark, mulch, compost and the tractor. These guys build them right for the best price!

Bumble Bee's 🐝 are actually more important on our farm than the honey bee's. They crack open the blueberries closed flower bloom so the honey bee's can access them, plus the bumble bee carries about 10x's the pollen load when pollinating.

The life cycle of a bumble bee colony in Florida generally begins in late January.

During this time, new queens search for nest sites like...
old mouse nests/rodent burrows, birdhouses, crevices by the foundations of buildings, or even above the surface in dense grass.

Have you ever wondered what happens to bees during the winter? Learn more about their lifecycle and how to differentiate between the 5 bumble bee species that call Florida home from UF Entomology & Nematology Department experts here âŹ‡ïž

*****UPDATE!! Miss Kitty has found her forever home!!đŸ’™đŸ»******

đŸŸ Meet Miss Kitty – Your Future Couch Companion! đŸŸ

Miss Kitty is on the lookout for a new forever home, and we think she just might be the perfect match for someone who loves a laid-back, indoor lifestyle. 💛

This lovely lady is the definition of mellow. We think she's about 2-3yrs old(but not sure because she was dumped on the farm), perfectly content lounging in a sunny window or curling up on the couch beside you during movie nights. Miss Kitty isn’t one for high-energy antics—she’s more of a “sip tea and nap through the afternoon” kind of gal. â˜•đŸ±

She's already spayed and gets along with other cats, dogs and even chickens! While she enjoys her independence, she’s also affectionate in that sweet, quiet way—gentle headbutts, soft purrs, and the occasional lap snuggle.

Miss Kitty would thrive in a calm, indoor environment where she can feel safe and adored. She's not a fan of chaos, but she could get along just fine with a fellow laid-back pet.

🏡 If you’re looking for a peaceful companion who will keep you company without climbing the curtains, Miss Kitty might be your girl.

Let’s help her find the cozy home she deserves. 🧡

Let’s not mince words
-
-
Section 453 is a chemical company get‑out‑of‑jail‑free card, and it's sneaking through by committee voice vote because they know we're watching.
-
-
I've been venturing down the rabbit hole on these chemicals for a decade starting with my essay: "Why Can I Eat Break in France but not the USA? (www.Overalls.blog)
-
-
If this sneaky rider to the appropriations bill passes, pesticide companies are immune from lawsuits—even if new science proves their products dangerous. That’s because if the label got EPA approval once, they're untouchable. Unsupported decades-long warranties become law.
-
-
More: it freezes EPA authority in time. No updates. No new warnings. States? Forget having stricter rules for their own people. A chemical gold‑rush that freezes 57,000+ products—like Roundup, Paraquat, & Dicamba—solid against scrutiny, backed by Chemical Ag & Big Pharma power.
-
-
Why's it matter? Let's talk about glyphosate, just one of the 57,000 chemical which will be immune to legal accountability. It disrupts our gut bacteria, binds up nutrients like Chromium, and contributes to inflammation and chronic illness. It's implicated in IBS, cancer, diabetes, anxiety, depression, dementia, obesity. I could go on. The public health costs of this SINGLE chemical is estimated to be around a $Trillion$. If you're counting, that's 20x all the settlements from Big To***co! Wonder why they want a legal immunity?
-
-
This chemical immunity initiative started at the state level and has largely been beat back by concerned citizens, so they escalated to the Federal level. With so much change & disruption in DC, they're counting on "Fog of War" to get it through.
-
-
So here’s what to do:
-
-
Go to the official directories. Find your U.S. Representatives: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative . Find your U.S. Senators: https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm .
-
-
Call and say: "Oppose Section 453. We need transparent science, not pre‑emptive legal immunity for chemical companies." Tell your friends
-
-
This one will impact America's health for generations. I am not exaggerating.

Hi friends,

It’s hard to believe, but blueberry season is almost over! After checking the fields, we’ve decided that this Saturday will be our final U-pick day of the year — so if you’ve been meaning to get out here, now’s your chance!

đŸ« Final U-Pick Day:
Saturday June 28th | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

We’ll also have a limited amount of pre-picked berries available for those who prefer their blueberries ready to go.
Give us a call Saturday morning to reserve yours — they’ll go fast!

Whether you’ve picked with us every year or just discovered us this season, thank you for being part of our farm family. We’ve loved seeing your smiling faces in the field and appreciate your continued support more than we can say.

Let’s finish the season strong — we hope to see you Saturday!

**Attention** After surveying our berry fields, it looks like we've picked down nearly all besides the last two varietals. With the heavy volume of picking lately we believe it will be best to close our Wednesday picking days to Saturdays only now for the remainder of the season. We want to be able to provide pre-picked berries for those who can't or just don't want to pick, and also provide everyone picking with the best experience possible. So, we will now be closed on Wednesdays to help allow those late season varietals to catch up on ripening for everyone.**
