The last of the avos have been picked for the year and the last load sent off to Rising Sun Produce at Brisbane Markets
They’re still out on the stall until they’re all gone

Some more spring photos, what a beautiful time of the year 🥰
A native orchid, spring flush on the Podocarpus Elatus aka brown pine,plum pine, Illawarra plum. These beautiful trees make excellent hedges, far better than planting exotic species! And a Reed avocado (usually the last to flower) going above and beyond with its flowers 🥑🌼😊 Lovely day to be outside

Baby avocados are starting to make their appearance and the spring flush of new leaves is coming on well.
This also means our season is just about over, only two more weeks of Avos out on the stall!

This beautiful stick insect ended up in with the Hass being picked this morning. I put him safely out of harms way in the buffer zone trees

If you’re looking for something to do this morning on the Sunshine Coast, Mapleton Markets are on this morning. Last market of the year for avocados , sorry we haven’t been at Kenilworth Markets but we’re full on picking, packing and sending to Brisbane. They have to come off for a better fruit set and while they’re at their best. Still plenty on the stall for a couple of weeks

🛠️ We’re having a small break from picking for some maintenance . There’s Reed Avos on the stall for a couple of days and then Hass will be back next week, all going well.

There’s some Reed Avos on the stall 😋
Prior to the rain we just had we picked this tree as from the before and after photos you can see that the big fruit really weigh the branches down and the extra weight of rain is enough to snap the branches! 🥑🥰
