Mat's Hot Shop Every sauce we carry is made purely from ingredients you could find at a farmers market: no additives, no preservatives, no gums.

Mat's Hot Shop is Australia's premier Hot Sauce store offering a curated selection of some of the world most flavourful gourmet hot sauces from small-batch sauce makers. We enjoy all levels of heat, from mild to scorching, but only as hot as nature allows: no capsaicin extracts. We sell food that goes on food: flavour is our number one priority, and it’s what we look for at every heat level.

Opportunity has arrived, I’m looking for someone to join me in all things hot sauce at Mat’s Hot Shop.

This is a casual role for 1–2 days per week split across Collingwood and West Footscray, starting as soon as possible.

You’ll help with:

• Making and bottling hot sauce
• Labelling and packing orders
• Kitchen prep and cleaning
• Keeping production running smoothly

Kitchen or food-production experience is preferred. More than anything, I’m looking for someone reliable, hands-on and comfortable working at a fast pace.

Production days are long, hot and rarely as tidy as the finished bottles make them look.

We prepare the ingredients, cook each recipe, blend the sauce and fill every bottle in small batches here in Melbourne.

Different sauces require different ingredients and processes, but the goal stays the same: make something that tastes good before worrying about how hot it is.
