A used commercial fridge can cost less upfront. But one major repair, higher electricity use or spoiled stock can quickly wipe out that saving.

A new fridge costs more, but for equipment that protects valuable stock and runs every day, warranty coverage, predictable servicing and better energy efficiency can reduce the unknowns.

But commercial refrigeration is expensive, and for many venues, a used model is the only option that fits the budget. If new is the better fit, equipment finance can spread the cost and make that added security more affordable.

HospitalityHub makes it easier to weigh up your options.

Submit your needs to receive up to three quotes from verified Australian suppliers and finance options from 60+ lenders, helping you choose the commercial fridge that best suits your venue. 🔍

Because the right fridge is one your business can afford to buy and rely on every day.

Inflation has eased. So why are costs still so high?

The latest ABS figures show headline inflation fell from 4.0% to 3.8% in the year to June. Headline inflation tracks price changes across a broad range of goods and services, including costs that can move sharply, such as fuel.

Lower fuel prices helped bring the headline figure down. But underlying inflation, which removes larger short-term price movements to show the broader trend, remained at 3.6%.

In simple terms: prices are still rising, just more slowly.

For hospitality operators, wages, ingredients and utilities remain expensive. While these costs can be difficult to control, the right cleaning equipment can help venues:

Complete cleaning tasks faster
Reduce repetitive manual work
Use labour, water and chemicals more efficiently

Need a more efficient cleaning setup? HospitalityHub helps you compare equipment, receive up to three supplier quotes and explore finance options through one simple enquiry.

When commercial laundry equipment cannot keep up, the impact is felt across the operation: slower room turnover, extra staff time and less certainty around linen availability.

After submitting an equipment quote request, buyers can still have questions.

What price range should they expect? Which part of their configuration affects the price most? How could the purchase be funded?

That is where Izzy comes in.

Watch our AI buyer assistant use the details already provided by the buyer to give them an indicative price estimate and answer questions specific to their requirements.

In this HospitalityHub call, the buyer requested a commercial fridge with separate sections for meat and drinks and asked which part of that configuration affected the price most. Izzy explained the reasoning behind the estimate, rather than simply providing a figure.

She can also explain relevant EasyAsset Finance solutions if the buyer wants to explore how the purchase could be funded in the same conversation.

It is a faster first step, backed by the human support buyers need as their enquiry progresses.

You know what your venue needs to achieve. Finding the right equipment, supplier and quote is the hard part.

Every supplier carries a different range. Quotes arrive with different specifications, inclusions, lead times and prices. Unless you already know exactly what you are after, comparing them means having the same conversation over and over, supplier by supplier.

That’s where HospitalityHub comes in.

Submit one enquiry describing what you need.

From there, we provide up to three relevant quotes based on what you need, so you can compare equipment, suppliers and finance options side by side without chasing suppliers yourself.

Whether you’re replacing equipment, increasing capacity or setting up a new operation, we make finding the right fit simpler. ❤️

Buying a commercial washing machine? How do you avoid the mistakes that only show up once it’s installed?

A large drum and a commercial label can look reassuring. But a washer can still be too slow, costly to run or wrong for your linen. The costliest mistakes are usually made before installation:

Choosing capacity before calculating daily laundry volume
Ignoring cycle times and how many loads you need per shift
Overlooking extraction speed and the extra drying time it creates
Failing to check power, water, drainage and installation requirements

The fix is simple: start with what you wash, how much and how quickly you need it ready. Then match the washer’s capacity, speed and setup to those needs.

Payday Super has started. What does that mean for your venue?

From 1 July, employers need to pay super with each pay run, instead of holding it for quarterly payment.

For hospitality operators, this is not a new tax or a higher super rate. It is a cash-flow timing change.

Money that may have previously stayed in the business until the quarterly super deadline now needs to move closer to payday.

For cafes, restaurants, pubs and commercial kitchens, that makes predictable operating routines more important.

The less room there is for payroll surprises, the more value there is in daily tasks that run consistently.

Floor cleaning is one of them.

Commercial cleaning robots can help venues keep floors cleaner, support safer walkways and make close-down routines easier to manage.

📊 HospitalityHub Market Insights - Q2 2026

Hospitality operators are still buying, but the bar for every purchase is higher.

Margins are thinner. Labour is more expensive. Coffee input costs remain elevated. Equipment now needs to do one of three things: reduce cost, protect margin or keep service moving.

That is where buyer interest is shifting.

Across HospitalityHub, interest strengthened around equipment that takes manual work out of the day, from floor-cleaning robots to service robots.

Cafes are still investing in espresso equipment, but with a sharper focus on consistency, waste reduction and protecting a core revenue line.

Fitout decisions are shifting too. With Victoria moving toward all-electric commercial kitchens from 2027, more operators are looking ahead at induction, electric ovens and efficient kitchen setups.

The read: spending is selective, not stopped. Money is moving toward products that cut cost, support staff or defend margin.
