Preorders are open on waywardfarm.ca from Monday-Wednesday at 8pm!

Pickup is from 4-6pm at Mary Allen Neighbourhood park (95 Allen St E) in Uptown Waterloo !

The farm this week!

We’ve officially said goodbye to our cherry tomatoes for the season ~~ we’ll be working on closing the greenhouse down in the next week or so.

We’ve still got peppers, carrots, scallions, eggplant, beets, lettuce mix, and zucchini. It’ll be a slow and steady end to the season production-wise. ♥️ and hopefully that means a calm, slow and steady energy follows. 🤞

Mike grew a few Roma tomato plants to test out and do some canning this year!!! They are so yummy, we will definitely be growing more again next year.

But for now, we can them at Alexandra's Farm | Cambridge, Kitchener, and Ayr, Ontario !

Can you believe these veggies are 3 weeks old?

We were curious about how long our veggies last in the fridge and were shocked after pulling these guys out. A bit of wilt and browning on the tips, but overall still a really nice canopy of greens!

Picked fresh every week for preorder pickup on Thursdays ~ these babies will last what some have said ‘forever’ in your fridge. 😉

But they are so yummy, they might not last that long! 🤪

Sunflowers are a part of our cover crop for this section of the farm. The rest of the plot behind this strip was mowed and tilled in while Mike begins to prep it for winter with a straw cover and potential cover crop.

Incredibly grateful for all of the love and support so far this season. Sharing the bounty with our community is what it’s all about. It’s been a wildly fruitful “transition year” as we discover what grows and slowly ease our way back into farming full-time. We’re already starting to dream & plan for next year!!

In the meantime, our ordering is open today (Wednesday Aug 26) until 8pm for pickup tomorrow at Mary Allen Neighbourhood park from 4-6pm!

We have preorder & pickup every week until the season’s end.
