🐮 Thinking about getting into cattle but not sure where to start?
These girls could be a pretty great way to do it.
I started out 11 years ago with 4 bred heifers and a Jersey milk cow and now I am close to 60 head and a sell out beef business! This also includes my kids purebred Angus, Simmental & Maine Anjou females and their show steers. We have had a ton of fun together over the years. Growing up a farm kid with a few years of 4H half assed prepared me but I've had a lot of help along the way and a diploma from the School of the Hard Knocks.
I have 3 young Lowline cows with steer calves at side looking for a new pasture. They’re young, manageable cows that don’t require a huge amount of ground or infrastructure — and I’d be more than happy to help a new owner learn the ropes.
If you’ve always wanted a few cows but the whole “Okay… now what do I do with them?” part has held you back, I can help with things like feeding, minerals, health care, calving questions, pasture management and all the little things that come up when you’re getting started.
And when breeding season rolls around next year, I’d also be willing to work something out to breed them back for you, so you don't necessarily have to worry about owning or finding a bull right away.
They currently have Lowline-cross steer calves at side and have been exposed back to the same Red Angus × Lowline bull for late April/early May 2027 calves.
Located in SE Saskatchewan. Delivery can be arranged.
$5,500/pair — firm.
You don’t have to grow up with cattle to start raising them. Sometimes you just need good cows and somebody you can call when you have a question. ❤️
