Honey Crystallization 🍯

To say I’ve learned a lot during this bee and honey adventure would be an understatement. I’ve become aware of things I never gave a second thought to before — and what a wonderful learning curve it has been.

One thing that has truly surprised me is how quickly honey crystallizes. So much so, I’ve found myself wondering what exactly I was buying in the past.

Here’s a group of jars I’m gently warming on a heating pad… but honestly, I’m not sure I even need to.

Honey crystallizes. Period.

If you need it in liquid form for a recipe or drizzle, simply warm it gently when the time comes. Honey doesn’t spoil, it doesn’t really “expire,” and it certainly isn’t “old” just because it has changed texture.

(Fun fact: archaeologists have found honey in Egyptian tombs that was still preserved!)

Pure, raw honey is wonderful in all its forms.

Maybe I’ll just let it bee. 🐝

This is what real honey does. 🍯

No additives, no processing—just time and nature doing their thing.

Crystallization happens when the natural sugars in honey settle and form crystals. Some jars do it faster than others depending on the nectar source.

If your jar turns solid, don’t toss it—just warm it gently and it’ll return to liquid.

Around here, we see it as a sign we did things right. 🌿

(I’m warming ours in a specialized warming blanket to gently do the trick.)
