Our farm store is officially open!

After working on this little space for the last few weeks, we’re excited to introduce a place where you can shop our products in person.

The farm store is located at 6008 Weisenberg Rd, Ariss, right next to our home. You’ll be able to browse our selection of beef, chicken, pork, preserves, and Cluck & Squeal products.

Since the farm store is not continuously staffed, we ask that you make an appointment before visiting. Just send us a DM, email, or give us a call to arrange a time!

Online order pickups will also be from the farm store from now on! For larger orders or freezer boxes, we still recommend ordering online ahead of time, as the amount of product we can keep in the store is limited.

We hope to see you at the farm soon!

We’re running a Rib Week to celebrate the final stretch of summer & grilling season!

With Guelph Ribfest happening this weekend, we thought we would have a little fun of our own with ribs this week. Until Saturday, all short ribs and braising ribs are 20% off!

Throw them in with your regular order, or stock up on a few for the long weekend coming up soon.

We hope you get a chance to fire up the grill and enjoy a few more outdoor dinners with family and friends before fall rolls around!

We know it’s not quite fall yet.

Some of you are already reaching for the sweaters, lighting the fall candles, and looking forward to everything pumpkin-related. Others are trying to squeeze every last bit out of summer before we start talking about crisp mornings and hot drinks. We get it - summer in Ontario is short, and we’re not in any rush to skip ahead.

That said
we’re making an exception when it comes to Thanksgiving dinner. 😉

Orders for our fresh, pasture-raised Thanksgiving turkeys are officially OPEN! Quantities are limited, so we recommend being prepared and making your preorder soon!

We’ve added a new Family Sized Burger Box to our online store!

We know it can be difficult to find burgers that are locally raised, thoughtfully produced, and full of flavour. We also know how much of a staple burgers are during grilling season, and a single pack of four doesn’t always go very far.

This burger box includes 6 packs of our flavoured beef burgers (24 patties total) and is now available in our online store!

A new chapter is beginning at Homegrown Roots đŸŒ±đŸ§ș

After much consideration, we have made the decision to conclude our time as vendors at the Guelph Farmers’ Market after Labour Day weekend. Our final market day will be Saturday, September 5.

The market has been an important part of our journey as first-generation farmers. It was one of the first opportunities that helped us share our story, meet our customers, and grow our small farm.

But this isn’t goodbye
it’s a new way to connect with the farm.

We’re excited to be opening our own small farm store right here at Homegrown Roots! Beginning in two weeks, you’ll be able to shop our beef, chicken, seasonings, and other products directly from the farm by appointment.

Stay tuned to see our little farm store all set up! 🏡

We’re still taking preorders for our next fresh chicken pickup date!

Supporting local means shopping with the seasons: enjoying food when it is naturally available and supporting farmers when they are investing the most time and resources into raising your food.

Our chickens are raised during the warmer months of the year, as they rely on sunshine and fresh grass to be happy and healthy. Enjoy this seasonal opportunity to purchase our pasture-raised chicken fresh from the farm!

Visit our online store using the link below to preorder your fresh whole chickens.
