They finally get to go where the grass is greener on the other side! Our oats are seeded now too, so bring on the rain! Next we’ll be hauling yearlings to grass for the summer too. So chore season is basically done. We just have finishing pens until they get shipped.

Macey told grandma she was sad we didn’t have chore brunches anymore!

Babies are more the majority now than not calved.

Our 2700+ lb breeding bull was rocking the chute pretty good. He was tricky to lure in through the corrals but at least he made it in. We had two we threw in the towel and let them back out because it was a waiting game we weren’t winning.

This past Sunday we ran the 7 breeding bulls through for deworming, shots, and replacement tags. Then they got turned out to the girls. We have some stubborn older boys that helped us come to a decision that a corral tweaking needs to be made!

One big boy was over 2700 lbs and was a stubborn grouch. He got the flag for our next cull!

We have been getting oats seeded this last week as well. With that there is rock picking too! That snow and rain in May gave us a good 2” of moisture👍🏻

And we have baby calves everywhere😁 maybe 50-60 I’d guess!

Brant and Karol spoiled us moms to an amazing brunch🙌

Then the boys got started on the roof of mine and the girls’ soon to be chicken coop, and Scott’s future retirement home👍🏻😆

Happy Mothers Day! It was a windy chore day! We have a good chunk of babies now! But they keep their distance still. These two were the closest to get a video🥰
