It’s National Raspberry Day - swipe through to see how our Razzler was made, plus a few of our other favourite things to make with raspberries!
•
We grow several raspberries bushes on the farm, but worked with other growers to source enough berries for a batch of wine. After harvesting, they are put into fermentation bins with a layer of sugar to help draw the juice out of the fruit. The sugar content of these raspberries was about 9.5-10.5 brix, so less than half of that of grapes; adding sugar at the start means the yeast will eat the sugar and help create sufficient alcohol, without sacrificing all of the natural berry sugars and flavour. After pressing and fermentation, it is carbonated and packaged in 250mL cans. They’re small but mighty: at 11% alcohol, 3 cans is the equivalent of an entire bottle of wine!

Sadly our Razzler is nearly sold out - come grab some in-store only until July 26. $6.25 a can.
