This May 17, we’re celebrating one of summer’s easiest wines to love at The Crush on King.
There’s just something about Pinot Gris - ight, fresh, effortless.
The kind of wine made for sunny patios, long weekends, slow afternoons, and good conversations.
Fun fact: Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio are actually the same grape… just with different personalities.
Italian Pinot Grigio is crisp and bright, while French-style Pinot Gris tends to be softer, rounder, and a little more textured.
And even more surprising? The grapes themselves are a beautiful soft grey-blue colour.
This weekend, we’re pouring:
✨ Veronica’s Vineyard 2023 “A Thousand Kisses” Pinot Gris — $26.95
Made in loving memory of a radiant woman whose smile could light up a room, this wine is joyful, bright, and full of heart.

What to know about Rennie Estates Wines 🍷

🍷 What’s in your glass? It’s more than wine — it’s a story.

🌿 Rennie Estates Wines begin at Heron Pond Benchland Vineyard, lovingly grown by Graham & Christine Rennie. This is a family rooted in crafting wines that feel balanced, elegant, and true to where they come from.

📍 Tucked into the Beamsville Bench in Niagara, the vineyard sits in that sweet spot between the Niagara Escarpment and Lake Ontario — meaning plenty of sunshine, cooling breezes, and a natural little shield that helps the vines thrive.

🪨 The soils here (limestone, clay, and loam) bring structure and freshness to every sip — that clean, lifted vibe you notice right away.

🌱 The vineyard itself has history too, dating back to the 1960s, with the Rennie family nurturing it since 1997. By 1999, they planted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot — all perfectly suited to this site.

🍇 Everything is done with intention: smaller harvests, hand-picked fruit, and thoughtful aging in French oak. Then it all comes together at Niagara Custom Crush Studio.
