We get it... getting stuck behind farm equipment can be frustrating.
But during wheat harvest, those slow-moving machines are harvesting the wheat that becomes bread, pasta, cereal, and countless other foods we enjoy every day.
Harvest is one of the busiest times of the year for Ontario grain farmers. When conditions are right, every hour counts, which means you'll likely notice more farm equipment travelling on Ontario's roads as farmers move from field to field.
If you come across farm equipment on the road, please be patient. These large machines often need extra space to safely navigate roads, bridges, and intersections, and they can't always pull over to let traffic pass.
When you see the orange Slow Moving Vehicle sign, it's a reminder that the equipment ahead travels at 40 km/h or less.
Slow down. Share the road. Be patient. Save lives.
