Smooth Strides Hoofcare I’m Amelia, I graduated from Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School in 2015 and returned for a second course in 2016.

I’ve been working as a farrier ever since, and often have 3 little supervisors to assist 😄 We are a husband and wife farrier team who work together to keep your horses hooves as healthy as possible. Amelia graduated from Oklahoma State Horseshoeing school in February 2015, then attended a full refresher course in late 2016. John has been helping with trims since 2015 while living in Alberta, and a

fter a few years of actively helping, also decided to attend Oklahoma State Horseshoeing School in 2018. We have worked together ever since, to be able to give every horse we work on the best advantage possible. We offer:
Barefoot trims
Hot and cold shoeing
Corrective shoeing
Therapeutic shoeing

Miss Jan got the ‘Amelia special’. I trimmed her front hooves 3 days ago, and then while doing something else I saw her in the front yard. So I caught her and went on a side quest to trim the back hooves. I have no idea why I originally went outside though 🤷‍♀️🤣

Taking just the bottom 1” of flare off the hoof to have the wall blend smoothly is so satisfying 🤩

Six’s first trim since he hurt his leg went much better than I expected, and no objections to standing tied at the trailer for it!

I try to get on the horses almost as much as I get under them with the nicer weather 😄

No halter or lead required, just a jumping toddler on the hay bale for entertainment 😆🥰
