Wending Home is participating in Boots N’ Benchlands on June 14!

Enjoy country music spinning on vinyl, wine, and our featured BBQ pairing:

BBQ drumstick with homemade Gamay BBQ sauce, homestyle dill potato salad, and a glass of 2021 Estate Gamay in a take-home Govino glass. For you white wine drinkers don’t worry, we will gladly substitute the Gamay with our recommended 2023 Estate Auxerrois.

We’ll also be supporting the Humane Society of Greater Niagara with an onsite golf challenge fundraiser from 1 – 4 PM. Win prizes and a chance to win a grand prize!

You may have seen a new face at Wending Home and it’s time to introduce everyone!

We’re excited to welcome Giorgi (George) Megrelishvili to the Wending Home family. Originally from Georgia, George brings more than 20 years of experience in viticulture and winemaking, along with a deep passion for traditional Georgian Qvevri winemaking — an ancient craft that remains close to his heart. His journey has taken him from studying winemaking in Austria and Georgia to leading his own wine ventures before beginning a new chapter here in Ontario.

George’s story is one of resilience, dedication, and a love for wine that crosses borders and cultures. After facing political pressures in his home country tied to his pro-democracy advocacy, he made the difficult decision to leave Georgia and continue building his future in Canada. Today, he is proud to continue his work in a safe and welcoming community while sharing his knowledge, experience, and passion for winemaking.

Please join us in raising a glass and offering a warm Wending Home cheers to George as he begins this exciting new chapter with us.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all who joined us this past weekend for the Mother’s Day Charcuterie with ! It was a huge success, and everyone had a fantastic time and experience.

The Brigid’s Brie & Oxford Harvest from Woodstock, Ontario, and the L’Ancêtre Goat Cheddar from Quebec paired beautifully with our wines.

And to end the experience on a decadent note, every guest received a Chocolate Truffle Surprise crafted with Château de Bourgogne cheese, handmade by Johanna!
