I am no professional pet nutritionist but every October I start buying pumpkins and between drying slices for treats and roasting and freezing it for upset tummy times, I have managed to keep my purchase of canned pumpkin down to just a few cans. At $6 + a can where I live, I am happy to stock up! for the treats, I am roasting them on the lowest setting on my oven and then I finish them in the air fryer on the dehydrate setting. Half a pumpkin yielded me 3 pans like this so in the end one pumpkin probably gets me 1 large Ziploc of treats.
Some additional stats that people have asked me about raising a litter of puppies
Current load of laundry count is 50 loads so far. (4.5 weeks in)
Currently feeding them 4 times per day
I add probiotics to every 'recipe' of softened puppy food and goat milk so far this is helping with poops for the most part. Food is soaked with boiling water, cooled by adding the goat milk and pureeing it together. Eventually we will stop pureeing the food but they need to be bigger first.
