Open Daily 9am-6pm daily Paynter's Fruit Market is an experience unto itself. Located in the Westbank/ West Kelowna community, Paynter's Fruit Market has been serving ice cream and fresh fruits and vegetables for over 60 years. All of our produce and fruit is local. We have our own orchards that are open for you-pick. We have a variety of fruit, including: cherries, apricots, plums, pears, and peaches. We also carry Island Farms and Foothills Creamery ice cream for those hot sunny days. We pride ourselves on customer service at Paynter's, so if there are any questions please call us! Oct 29th. We are down to the last varieties of pumpkins but we still have some cute ones. Do you carve your pumpkin or just leave it on your porch whole to bake with after Halloween?

Tip. Freeze your pumpkin purée to use at Christmas for those pies. Just cook, cool, and bag and freeze in pie sized portions.

Open 9am-5pm starting in November.

No squash were hurt in the making of this video. 🥔

Tips when making squash; Don’t stress out about it, they can all be cooked the same way. Just cook the way you would make any potatoes, and until they are soft.

What did I miss? Tell me your favourite way. 👨‍🍳

My favourite way is cubed , little bit of salt and olive oil in the air fryer for 15 minutes on 400. It will turn your non squash loving friends into squash lovers.

I need help from anyone that has run a fundraiser before 🏃 What has been the best ways to track your sales and keep the fundraising organized?

We will be doing an Apple bag fundraiser in the near future ( also comment if you are interested) but before I reinvent the wheel, tell me what is the best method. Online? Coupon books? Single Spread sheet ?

Want to harvest Zinnia seeds from our patch?
💚Check in with the market first, then head out into the garden.
💚Please bring your own pruners or scissors.

1️⃣ Let your zinnias dry on the plant until the petals turn brown and crispy.
2️⃣ Snip off the dried flower heads.
3️⃣ Gently pull them apart and collect the seeds.
4️⃣ Let the seeds dry completely, then store them in a labelled paper envelope in a cool, dry place. Never in plastic containers.

🌼 Plant them next spring and watch the magic happen all over again! You can sprinkle them in the soil in May, or for earlier blooms we start ours in the greenhouse in March and April.

Gardening tip: Saved seeds from hybrid varieties may grow into flowers that look different from the original.

Have you grabbed any yet? There are still lots available. Don’t worry about trampling the plants to get to the good seeds, we will be pulling them out next week.

It’s the weekend! Looking for something to do? Come for a hot apple c***r and wander the orchard and pumpkin patch. The leaves are changing colour and the orchard is looking incredible.

You-pick tomatoes for free. 🍅 We are so excited that we have another round of tomatoes ripening up, you just have to pick them from the field.

- Bring your own container or box.
- Check into the market first
- Be prepared to have to search for them, full disclaimer there are some with marks or that are overripe but there are lots of beautiful ones at the top of the field.
