Big thanks to all the newlyweds and WECYAC for an incredibly busy month! So happy to be a part of these events, and to cook good food for so many people.

Now it's time to rest my hands and heal my body šŸ˜‚
Will be gone for Thanksgiving to do some fishing, maybe when I get back I'll make some soup! Tis the season after all.

Last day up north turned out to be a great one. Calm day on the water let us get out to a spot we usually can't in the boat, and it produced a few little lake trout and a salmon for us. Great way to end the summer work season!

Pretty bad zoomed in & stabilized video, but we snuck up on two cubs and a momma bear today on our way to (wait for it) bear lake. Another first! Heart was thumping. Turned around so we wouldn't disturb them/make momma mad, no fishing in the lake today!

Out of breath, covered in slime (me and the fish). Biggest fish of my life, doubt I'll ever top this in freshwater. 53" ...

Been a slow, disheartening year for fishing up here. This makes it all worth it. Reeling up lines after catching no salmon, he hit the spoon on the way up. Always reel up slowly, you never know what's following.

Was revived next to the boat and swam off happy! What a dinosaur.
