Meet the makers behind Galipette.

Our home in Brittany and Normandy is Europe’s orchard, where c***r apples have been grown on family run farms for over a thousand years. It’s a tradition shaped by the land, the seasons and, most importantly, the people who continue to care for it.

Jacques tends 100 hectares of c***r orchard near Dinan, at the mouth of the River Rance. In 2003, he created a conservatory orchard that is now home to 131 heritage apple varieties, helping preserve apples that have grown in these orchards for hundreds of years

Melissa tends 26 hectares of orchard in the fertile marshland of Mont Dol, Brittany. Her orchards are home to twenty apple varieties, including local Rouget de Dol and Marie Ménard. For Melissa, growing apples follows the natural rhythm of the landscape and the seasons.

Alain, our Maître du Chai, takes care of each cuvée from the extraction of the juice through fermentation and final maturation. His favourite part comes with the assemblage, bringing together bitter, bittersweet, sweet and sharp apples to create the character and balance of each c***r.

Thibault tends a forty hectare orchard in Pleurtuit, overlooking the River Rance. Founded by his father in 1978, the orchard is home to twenty apple varieties, two thirds of which are local Breton varieties.

Four makers, four stories and generations of knowledge behind the orchards and apples that make Galipette what it is.

Galipette Biologique, our organic cuvée made from 100% organic c***r apples grown in centuries-old Normandy orchards.

Lightly fermented to preserve its natural floral aromas, with a wildflower character that shifts gently with the seasons.

Sweeter on the nose, refreshing in the glass and particularly good alongside fresh goat’s cheese.

A little taste of Normandy, naturally.
