These are some of the cows to calve this autumn and winter. We've got just under half the herd calving over the autumn/winter this year to help keep the raw milk flowing all year round.

I put this pipeline parlour in the spring, it's a very simple system originally from the 1970s.

It allows me to milk the cows much quicker than in the bail and puts the milk directly into the bulk tank or cheese vat.

This is the latest modification to it, adding extra gates to stand and milk 6 cows at a time. There are more changes to be made this autumn with a new bulk tank going in and moving the dairy into a bigger space.
