Winkleigh Farm Winkleigh farm is a small family farm, recently 9th generation. We farm the beautiful Devon Red Ruby cattle. Beef available. We offer Camping too.

The farm is going through considerable renovation; keeping its charm remaining true to its roots.

Our Ruby Red Devon’s being a bit boisterous this morning ! They are so strong and heavy you wouldn’t want to get caught up in it !

We planted a dwarf plum tree when Edie was born and this year it was laden with plums ! We watched the chickens pick off...

We planted a dwarf plum tree when Edie was born and this year it was laden with plums ! We watched the chickens pick off the lower hanging fruit and quickly eat them 🤦🏼 we can only assume the strong winds and rain knocked the rest off which the chickens would have devoured at top speed ! as we now only have 1 survivor 😢

Ruby Red Devon’s are a heritage native breed and used to all weather conditions , this rain won’t affect them at all

We’ve had about 2 hours of hard rain and strong winds, obviously without grass the fields are very dusty and so now muddy , it’s one extreme to the other 🤦🏼

Have you been caught out in the rain, are you wet from walking or just fancy a cuppa and piece of cake? Winkleigh Farm honesty cafe has a delicious pear, honey and rosemary upside down cake 😋 we also have brownies , a couple of cookies and 2 slices of caramel and lavender cake ! Why not pop into our little rustic cafe , we don’t mind wet clothes or doggies 👍
