Today we’ve been freeze branding our in calf heifers 🧊

Freeze brands are an easy way of identifying the cows (as well as their ear tags). This is done by resting metal prints in a alcohol and dry ice mixture bringing them down to a temperature of -80c, the print is then placed onto the rear end of the animal for 30 seconds, this alters the hair pigment and the hair grows back white 5 weeks later 👌 🐄 ( the last photo is one of last years)

The process doesn’t cause any pain and they’re back out grazing before they know it 🌱 ☀️

Applying slurry at the correct amount and not having to steer the Tractor either.

This lagoon full of slurry has never been so valuable!
With fertilizer prices increasing over 40% in the last couple of months this product is fantastic for growing grass and other crops. rich in nitrogen, phosphate and potassium and doesn't need to come through the straits of Hormuz!
