More than 150 artists and cultural figures came together at London’s OVO Arena Wembley for the Together For Palestine benefit concert.

The September 17, 2025 event featured major names including Eric Cantona, Richard Gere, Florence Pugh, Benedict Cumberbatch, Damon Albarn, Paul Weller and PinkPantheress, alongside Palestinian artists and musicians.

According to reports, the sold-out event raised nearly £1.5 million through ticket sales, donations and merchandise. The money was directed through the UK charity Choose Love toward Palestinian-led organisations including Taawon, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and the Palestine Medical Relief Service.

The four-hour event combined music, speeches, poetry and personal testimony, with organisers describing it as an expression of solidarity with Palestinians.

Legal immigration from nationals of majority-Muslim countries has fallen dramatically since the end of 2024, according to an analysis of U.S. State Department data.

The analysis found that monthly immigrant visa issuances and permanent refugee admissions from 45 majority-Muslim countries fell from 21,096 in December 2024 to just 808 in February 2026 — a 96% decline.

According to reports, immigrant visa issuances alone fell about 95%, while refugee admissions from those countries fell to zero by February 2026.

The decline followed a series of Trump administration immigration restrictions, including expanded travel bans, visa restrictions and other immigration measures.

There is an important distinction: the data classify people by nationality, not religion. Many affected immigrants and refugees from these countries are not Muslim.

The scale of the decline is fueling another major debate over immigration policy and national security.

Donald Trump has sharply criticized France’s ongoing student protests, arguing that the unrest is being driven by mass migration and Islam rather than problems inside the education system.

In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote that what was happening in France was “out of control mass migration” and claimed the protests were about “Islam wanting to take over” the country.

According to reports, however, the demonstrations began with students demanding better school conditions, including more teachers, less overcrowding, improved facilities and greater education funding. The movement has since spread nationwide, with some protests turning violent and producing clashes with police.

More than 266,000 people participated nationwide on October 6 according to French authorities, while organizers estimated roughly 450,000. Nearly 500 arrests were recorded that day.

France’s Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot responded by saying France must “write its own story.”
