We are proud to see Rimapere Plot 101 2024 awarded 95/100 by Decanter, earning an Outstanding rating and placing it among the top six w**es of a special panel tasting of 163 New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs.
Tasted by Master of W**e Anne Krebiehl, Plot 101 was praised for its “beautiful brightness and juicy stone fruit”, its “effortless balance” and light, creamy finish.

What if one plot could reveal another side of Rimapere?
Plot 101 was born from a desire to explore our vineyard differently: selecting a single parcel of Sauvignon Blanc for its distinctive character and vinifying it separately to reveal its own expression.
The result is a more intimate interpretation of our terroir — and another perspective on Rimapere.

From Marlborough to Central Otago, down to earth.
On September 22, Rimapere and Akarua will come together in Auckland for Down to Earth 2026, alongside 75 certified organic w**e producers from across New Zealand.
For us, this year's edition has a particular significance. 2026 marks the organic certification of Akarua's Bannockburn vineyard — an important milestone in an approach to w**egrowing that both our estates share: working with the natural rhythms of the land and allowing each vineyard to express its own character.
We'll be pouring Rimapere Sauvignon Blanc 2025, Rimapere Plot 23 and Akarua Pinot Gris 2026 — three expressions of two very different New Zealand terroirs.
Two regions, two identities, one shared commitment to the land.

A symbol with a story.
The five arrows have been part of the Edmond de Rothschild family’s history for generations, becoming an enduring symbol of its heritage.
When Rimapere was established in New Zealand, this historic emblem found a new expression. In Māori, Rimapere means “five arrows” — a name that brings the Rothschild family’s heritage into the language of the land the estate now calls home.
Today, the five arrows overlook the estate in Marlborough, a familiar symbol now woven into Rimapere’s own identity.

Through Rimapere and Akarua, these two distinctive terroirs reveal contrasting expressions of the country’s w**emaking identity.
At Rimapere, in Marlborough, ocean breezes, stony soils, and sharp temperature swings between day and night shape Sauvignon Blancs of unique clarity and vitality.
This identity is reflected in every w**e—from the immediate brilliance of the Sauvignon Blanc to the precise tension of Plot 101.
