This little calf is cool for several reasons:

-She’s the first calf we’ve had from from my artificial insemination work after taking an AI class last year.
-She’s our first SS Identified heifer after 4 straight bull calves.
-She’s out of 1623, our favorite cow on the place and the very first registered Angus cow we bought at auction from Matney Angus Farm.

We’re excited about this little heifer. She’s sired by BJ Surpass out of a Blackcap cow family.

Some good maternal traits including a $M in the top 1% of the breed and Milk and Heifer Pregnancy in the top 2%.
