Sometimes you just have a favorite baby silkie 🩶 We hatched some of our silkie hobby stall eggs recently and had a great hatch rate — these little fluff balls are looking good and we can't wait to see how they turn out! 🐣

Couldn't resist adding a few more sweet girls to the flock. Took a little road trip to see Little Farm On The Edge Of Town and came home with four new girls — hoping they'll add some more moss and speckled brown to our egg basket. 🤎🐣

New beginnings at Cochran Cluckers 🐣

We let a few of our broody Mille Fleur D'Uccle bantams sit on some eggs, not expecting much — and this week we got our first baby chick! Sweet little surprise hatching out right on the farm. 🐥

Sad day at Cochran Cluckers today — we unfortunately lost our sweet tom turkey, Big Daddy. 💔

With his passing, we've made the decision to sell our two hens as well. We have one Narragansett and one Heritage Bronze, both actively laying. Reach out if you're interested in giving them a good home! 🦃✨

New favorite project: Ermine Ameraucanas 🖤🤍

We recently brought in some stunning grow-outs from Theresa Carlson Duarte (Bellflower Farm) - ermine, dominant white and black - and we're thrilled with how they're shaping up. Ermine is such a striking, underrated pattern, and pairing it with strong black and white lines gives us a lot to work with as we build out this project.

Still early days, but we're excited to watch these birds mature and see what we can develop from this foundation. More updates to come — stay tuned! ✨
