Breeding has started !!

I paired my males and females together today to get ready for our early spring babies. And they are in heat !!

My Nigerian dwarf bucks have the perfect coloring and body structures and the does are just beautifully colored. So we are hoping to have some beautiful color variations in our babies !!

2 weeks in lock down pens and then we will split up gestation is 140-155 days so we are looking at babies anywhere between February 7th and March 8th !!

Early April and or may we will have babies for sale !!

Ole Barney is loving the life and we are loving ever bit of it ❤️ he lets us give him hugs and lots of pets and he loves carrots !! This old man is right at home 🫶

We have been busy this morning !!

Everyone meet Barney or old man !!

We’ve been busy hanging feeders setting up water troughs and lots of other things getting his stable ready. We couldn’t be more excited.

We learned that Barney started his life in this same pasture when he was very young and we love that he’s back here to enjoy it and this green grass !!!

Now let’s go cut some grass !!

The stall is ready for Barney 👀!! We just need to clean the floors and hang the latch and clean our mess up !!!

Back door snatched off, hole cut for ventilation front door split in half and supports added to the walls !!! We had some trouble once we got in there and had to replace some things but she’s done and ready other then a good cleaning tomorrow!!

What’s a years supply of feed look like you may ask ?? 😪

Well here it’s between chickens🐓 , ducks🦆 , peafowl🦚 , dogs🐕 and goats 🐐 we go through it !!!

Luckily the guy we are introducing next has a taste for grass 😉

With that being said our feed barn has been completely tore out !!

Why you may ask ? Well for one we need something completely sealed up away from cats, possums and rats 🐀 so where rebuilding !!

The feed barn is undergoing surgery to become our stable !!

The door is going to be split in half of course and the side cut out for ventilation with the typical wire side and the back door opens right to the pasture what more could you want for a …. Oops I almost gave it away 🤬👀

For what you may ask ?? Well time will tell 🤪

We added two new babies today !! And potentially another coming soon !!

What could it be ???? Four legged ? Two legged ? Fur or feathers ??

For sale !!!

We have so many eggs already and started selling routinely and then hatched more birds on hopes to sell them and or there eggs and well I just have way to many. so I’m selling all my babies !! Or trade for a blue make peacock or a few turkeys or guineas

20-3 month old chicks:
A mix of Rhode Island reds, Americana, and olive eggers there mixed with the three and fully feathered so $3 per chick

55$ for all

9-2 month old chicks:
almost fully feathered $2 per chick

$15 for all

“Grapes a growin and roosters crowin”

With school back in session and our oldest starting head start life’s been crazy !! Here on the farm the animals are growing the grapes are starting to ripen and the goats are still eating everything !! And I’m still think of what animals to add next 😅.

Anyone need any fresh eggs for those kiddos in the mornings ? Or maybe for some muffins or even a cake ? We have a couple dozen available !! There laying like hot cakes right now !! Get with me on a dozen or a couple dozen eggs !!!!

ISO: We are looking to expand our birds !! I’m looking for a blue peacock (male) or Indian peafowl as some call them. Preferably around 2-3 years old I have a female that needs a boyfriend !!
