It's been a long time since I've posted so I hope my dear followers haven't given up on this page 🙂
It's been over two years since I was laid off and about a year since I decided to give up the search for a job and focus on the farm and family. Some days it's still hard to accept the abrupt end to a career I loved. But on days like this I'm grateful for the opportunities that change has brought me.
This little man has been so sick for the last week or so. There were days we thought he wasn't going to make it and we were going to have to do the merciful thing. Even as recently as an hour ago.
And yet here he is up on his feet, with a little occasional help from me, grazing, wanting to stand, wanting to walk on his own. And I have all the time in the world to stay with him, picking him back up every time he flops down, moving him to the nicer parts of the lawn, giving him round the clock care like he needs...
Sometimes the universe does know what it's doing 🥰💕
