Egg special! Our eggs are 3 for $5 for now or $2 a dozen. These chickens have a good life, wandering around the pasture beside the Christmas shop. They lay many different colors including brown, green, bluish, tan, and white. This price will start Friday morning, 7-12.

You can still find black raspberries, and strawberries but red raspberries, yellow raspberries, and huge blackberries are coming in well too.

As always the flowers are thriving too.

After the weekend there is an abundance of berries due to the extra day to ripen. Monday at seven to noon is our next time to pick sweet strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Make jam, eat them fresh, or freeze berries.

Fall is the time for educational tours at JB Tree Farm. Starting on September 18th, weekdays we operate many tours. Your group can experience a learning opportunity here which usually takes an hour and then you're welcome to stay longer for lunch or to play on the harvest playground. The tours include a Hands-On educational lesson about plants, an artistic activity and a hayride. Other activities are also available and you're welcome to use the picnic tables for lunch.

Fall is educational tour season! We host many groups here starting September 18, on weekdays. Our tours consist of a hands on educational lesson about some aspect of plants, a hayride, and an artsy project. Larger groups also may receive a guided lesson about our goats and chickens, extra time on the harvest playground, or a scavenger hunt. Some groups choose to solve the corn maze. And most groups stay in our picnic area for their packed lunches. We are happy to host public schools, private schools, homeschools, adult groups, and even clubs and organizations.

The yellow and red raspberries are finally starting to ripen so next week there should be some nice big yellow ones and some red ones also, along with the black raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries. We will be open Monday from 7:00 to 12:00 and then Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 and Friday 7:00 to 12:00 next week.

Don't forget our farm fresh eggs and flowers while you're here for berries.

Usually the strawberries need an extra day to ripen but this week they seem to be ripening before our eyes. For this reason we decided to be open Wednesday morning and Wednesday afternoon if needed so we'll open at 7:00 Wednesday morning and then probably open back up at 3:00 as usual. The main thing you'll find is lots and lots of strawberries some black raspberries with an occasional blackberry. Also the flowers are thriving and want to go home with you. So as of now we will open at 7 Wednesday and probably again at 3 PM.

Monday afternoon, we are now picked out and closing as of 336, thanks so much.

Black raspberry lovers, we are open Monday August 17, now, and they are ripe! Curt just picked two pounds on one side of a row. Please come get yours! Many have asked about black raspberries up to now and your day has come finally. Will be open till at least noon but if you want to come after that please call because we'll probably still be here.

Hot weather and rain make for a lovely crop but they need homes as soon as possible.

Of course there are still lots of strawberries as well but look at these big beauties.
