After 24 years of concern about ticks on our kids, last week it finally happened. A tick. I was actually up at Froedert hospital for an appointment for Mom. While in the waiting room I received a call and this pic from our son, Moses. Our oldest daughter, Genesis, removed the tick and treated the area like a pro. Thankfully she had just received a tick 101 class 💕during a group hiking meet up through our church family.
Hoping you all might share some of your tick experiences and knowledge to help our community here during this tick season. Prevention, treating, aftercare….tick conspiracies (Abraham mentioned something he had heard, curious if you’ve heard anything?)
Also, it was a bit of a traumatic experience for some of the kids, as the tick was on our youngest (6 years old), so a couple of the younger kids are now avoiding going outside. 🙃
