PRESSURE IS A PRIVILEGE!🙌🏼
Last Saturday night at the EPRA Pro Rodeo in Chesterfield, VA, things didn’t go the way I had hoped. I had some tough luck around the third barrel and ended up taking a tumble. It wasn’t the run I wanted, but it was the reminder I needed…
This year, I’ve made the decision to push myself to ride harder, compete at a higher level, chase bigger goals, and find out what I’m truly capable of.
And with bigger goals comes pressure.
But pressure is a privilege.
It means you have something worth working for. It means you’ve put yourself in a position where the outcome matters to you. It means you’re brave enough to expect more from yourself and keep showing up even when things don’t go your way.
There will be disappointing runs. There will be mistakes. There will be seasons where you feel stuck. And every once in a while, you might even hit the dirt.
But you MUST Get back up.
Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep pushing yourself. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. Keep becoming a better version of yourself than you were yesterday.
One bad run doesn’t erase the work.
One fall doesn’t define the journey.
And one setback sure doesn’t mean it’s time to stop.
I’m Grateful for the horses that allow me to chase these dreams. But even more grateful that I get the opportunity to put pressure on myself to become the rider and competitor I know I can be.
So, I will keep going.
Because pressure is a privilege. 🤍
Will you?
Thank you to Two Eyed Photography for capturing this photo of me walking out of the arena safely and in one piece. After a night like Saturday, that alone is something worth being incredibly thankful for. 🙏🏼
We are heading to
Western Riders of Virginia tonight for a VCA jackpot,
Blackstone VA Friday night for a VCA jackpot, Strasburg VA Saturday night for an EPRA pro rodeo,
