Starry Skye Farm Our goal is to breed Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats who are conformationally correct, fill the milk pail, and are a delight to be around.

My fabulous neighbor Beth came over yesterday and helped clean the barn (she complained about it being too easy… there were only three wheelbarrow loads 😂) and then we took the goats out into the big pasture and sat and talked while they grazed around us. At one point I let out a big sneeze, and the whole herd startled and RAN for the barn. They came back once they realized it wasn’t an alarm snort 😂

Walking the goats out in back they seem to mostly be skipping the grass in favor of eating the wild daisy rosettes. Which is fine with me, they’re an invasive w**d.

My good friend Chessa brought her livestock scale over, and I have been underestimating doe weights by 10-20 lbs! Soiled Dove is the heavyweight champion at 96 lbs 😂. A big fat dry 2yo a couple lbs behind her. 3 in the 80s, 2 70s, 2 yearlings 60s.
