Our Lmtd. Edition Reserve Tempranillo has officially sold out 🍷

But the good news? La Guapa, our Reserve Red Blend, has stepped onto the tasting flight and is now available for purchase.

This wine is especially meaningful to us — Randy has said it’s his favorite wine he’s made in Texas. Bold, layered, and beautifully balanced, it’s a wine that continues to surprise us every time we revisit it.

We’re reopening the Lightning cellar!

Join us Sunday, June 14 for a rare library tasting and private sale featuring wines from our very first winery project, Lightning Wines. We’ll be pouring a deep lineup of aged vintages, returning favorites, and several wines we’ve never shared before.

Quantities remain extremely limited, and many of these wines exist only in small library holdings. Once they disappear from the cellar, they will not return again.

We’re so happy to have several of our team members celebrating wedding events in the tasting room this week, which means a few temporary hour changes:

Thursday — Closing at 5 PM
Friday — Regular hours
Saturday — Closing at 5 PM

Join us for a seated afternoon tasting with Chef , whose menu draws from the flavors of his Midwestern upbringing - donut shops, delis, pot roast, and comfort-food classics - all reimagined through the lens of serious culinary training and modern technique.

Many of you may already know Chef Derek from , the food truck parked outside CLB. But beyond the pierogi window, he brings an impressive culinary background to the table, including training at Le Cordon Bleu Institute of Culinary Arts in Pittsburgh, where he graduated as valedictorian, followed by the highly regarded Greenbrier Resort Culinary Apprenticeship Program - one of the oldest and most rigorous culinary training programs in the country.

For this experience, he’s created a menu that is nostalgic, surprising, and intentionally built to show how the right bite can completely transform a wine.

ONE OF OUR FAVORITE KINDS OF EVENTS IS BACK

Visiting Winemaker Series with on Saturday, March 28 from 1 - 3 PM

Over the years, has built friendships with talented winemakers across the country - small producers who share the same philosophy we do: great vineyards, thoughtful farming, and a light touch in the cellar.

Our Visiting Winemaker Series brings those like-minded makers to Austin so you can taste their wines, hear their stories, and get a behind-the-scenes look at what they’re doing.

On March 28, we’re welcoming Ben and Matt of Benevolent Neglect to the CLB tasting room. Randy will lead a relaxed, moderated tasting of five Benevolent Neglect wines, with the BN team sharing insights into their vineyards, winemaking approach, and the journey behind their Napa Valley label.

It’s part tasting, part conversation - and always a fun afternoon.

If you enjoy discovering small producers and hearing directly from the people making the wine, you’ll love this one.
