Barnard General Store Located on beautiful Silver Lake, Barnard General Store was established in 1832, making it one of the oldest original standing general stores in Vermont.

Mon: Grab-and-Go Egg Sandwiches ONLY
Tues-Friday: Made-to-order egg sandwiches and pancakes, served until 11am
Saturday + Sunday: Full Breakfast Menu served until 12 noon

Lunch:
Hot sandwiches served 10- 3pm daily
Cold sandwiches 10- 4pm daily
Grab-and-Go options available until store closing

Today, I mailed out the 34 Aldo's Classroom Economy kits to the VT/NH teachers who have signed up for the pilot year of the program I created. This summer has been a labor of love. Non-stop emails, networking, marketing, print ordering, putting together boxes, problem solving, etc. As I mentioned before, my goal was to find 5 teachers and 5 corporate sponsors. The fact that this curriculum will be in 34 classrooms blows my mind. I am so proud of this little company I have created and so excited for the future. Who knows how many classrooms it will be in next year!

Heads up, friends! Tomorrow, Saturday 8/22, we'll be serving our WEEKDAY limited breakfast menu from 7am to 9am. From 9am to noon, breakfast will be grab-and-go egg sandwiches only.

Sorry for the inconvenience! You know how dedicated we are to the store, but we made a promise, and the Fairy Festival at VINS is calling. So tomorrow, we're clocking out early to go chase fairies with our kids. Lunch will be normal service.

Zucchini boats flying out of the case this weekend! Made here at the BGS: zucchini stuffed with kalamata olives, feta cheese, red onion, spinach, panko breadcrumbs, and balsamic glaze. I had one for dinner last night... it was delicious!

Well, today's breakfast was one for the books! From 8am to noon, we had 182 orders. Our dining room seats 19. We served almost 60 pancakes in 4 hours! All cooked by yours truly, with the help of my amazing right-hand-woman in the deli, Melissa. And, huge shout out to Gayle on register for somehow keeping up with all that coffee, while also ringing everyone up! Whew, what a morning!

We are so charmed to be carrying a small collection of rescued stuffed animals from The Bunny Bin right here in the store. Each one has been cleaned, repaired, and given a name and a story. And while every one is different...in character, in backstory, and in their own unique way of seeing the world...all of them are looking for someone to belong to (if you think about it, they're not so unlike us, really.)

Honestly, they've already made the place feel a little more magical. Come meet them!
